  • Two dislikes might be from Zardari and younger Ganja sharif.

  • Faiz Saab was not only a lover of Pakistan, but was also an ardent advocate of justice and his words will continue to be a source of inspiration for the revolution which the oppressed clearly need. May God make his soul rest in peace, ameen.

  • when ever i listen to this, it makes me cry...reminds me all those helpless and deprived people who are fighting for survival...it makes me imagine the situation where kids cry of hunger and their mother unable to do anything for them, tries to calm them down, knowing that they might die of hunger and lose the battle against the ruthless nature and those privileged ones who show no mercy to them.

May Allah put mercy in our hearts, May we all men become humans.....Ameen!

  • Who dare not speak of their inner pain...

    such amazing poet

  • very very nice .May Allah bless his soul and all the poor ppl souls

    thank you for sharing

  • Foolish people are fighting over nationality when they cannot get the basic message that is being said, see a hungry child and think have you gone hungry one night! No, the activists, the socialite jhola wallahs have not, for them the poor are just lab rats for winning the next peace prize. Faiz Saab's poem is so relevant to the whole subcontinent as well in terms of the poverty.

  • This is the Legacy of Faiz Ahmed Faiz - who ALWAYS strived and spoke for struggles of ordinary people.

  • hypocrite indians...when there is a good pakistani, they call him indian, otherwise they treat every one of us very badly....go fruck yourselves

  • He was not Pakistani or Indian or South Asian. He was a poet who lived with humanity. Always moaning on the sorrows of the deprived human being. Akhlaq Lahore

  • @akhlaq441 wow!kya jawab diya...i like it...

  • There is no one like Faiz Sahab, the great champion of the poor and dispossessed... he was not just Pakistani or Indian, but a great South Asian:)

  • bilkul sahi, kabir bhai.

faiz, manto, kaifi azmi, premchand, ishmat chugtai were giants of their time. and they were sub-continentals before they were nationalists. great representatives of south asia to the world.

  • nisar main teri galiyoun pay ay watan kay jahan.

chali hai rasm ke na koi sar utha ke chalay.

jo koi dewana tawaf ko niklay.

nazar chura ke chalay jism o jan batcha ke chalay.

  • If our motherland is unfortunately going through tough times now,we should not hate it at all coz true love is always unconditional. All of us need to play our part wherever we can and the day is not far when we will get the same Pakistan for which our forefathers laid their lives.Tum mere ho Pakistan chahe jaise bhi ho!love you more than anything my motherland!

  • pakistan was not made for corrupt feudals or ignorant dictators. It was made for the poor and suffering muslims of sub-continent. from the last 60 years, 30 years corrupt leaders ruled us and the remaining 30 were stolen by the army. My grandfather did not sacrifies for this pakistan which cant secure its own citizens and where human rights violation is on its peak. what did we accomplish in last 62 years? loadshading and hunger? give me the country which my forefathers dream of.

  • Faiz was one of our greatest poets of the modern times. He gave voice and courage to many struggling and oppressed people of our countries (both India and Pakistan). With current leadership of both countries only bothered about upper and middle classes (and are slaves to USA and capitalist world), Faiz is more important than ever.

    Ab takhat giraye jayengein...

Faiz inspired Sahir and Habib Jalib! More poets will follow him in not only in Urdu but many other languages.

  • I appreciate the work of Iqbal or Ghalib but Faiz spoke for me, for my family, friends, neighbours colleagues and for millions of poor people. and he stood against the tyrant.

  • Nah, Faiz was as great as Iqbal, Ghalib, or Mir. Fair stood up against the dictators of his time--unlike the above 3--and so Faiz is no less than these three. Not more. Not less.

  • why you are comparing god with diamond, diamond is diamond and gold is gold and gem is gem..not comparable bro

  • just a reminder. thts ws in response to sankhan99 remarks..

  • Faiz is considered by many to be the 4th greatest urdu poet of all times after Ghalib, Mir and Iqbal.

Mata-e-loh o qalam chchin gye to kia ghum hai

K khoon-e-dil mein dabo li hain unglian mein nay

Labon pe mohr lagi to kia k rakh di hai

Har ek halqa-e-zanjeer mein zuban mein nay

    God bless his soul.

  • I do think that Faiz is more greater than Mir and Iqbal although Ghalib is 1st. But if we categorise them according to situation then we can say every poet is the best of his time.I do have some concern about Iqbal , mean i have different thinking about him. But FAIZ is the great really. I love to read him again and again

  • It is true but it is not the question of merely dedicating ghazal in name of these people infact we should try to find out some solution and also pray for them.

  • prayers are useless.

  • thats reality but the thing is how to stop that reality ,,

  • Faiz has left this peom incomplete. Is there any one who can complete this poem? Dam chahiye is ke liye

  • This is in response to ur (sort of) Challenge. made in last 5 mins. hope u wont underestimate the successors of Faiz again. thx

jin kee khushboo say lolak yaksoo huye,

  • You can't be serious you ignoramus!! You are for capitalism and Islam???? Tell me honestly!! What color is the sky in your world?? Seriously what it is!! I can bet it most certainly is NOT blue!!

  • you cannot say he is promoting communism, he is a great poet and communism is shit. There should be capatilism with government intervention, that is the best system, the islamic system, and the system that is being used in america and one of the main reason of their success.

  • If you have any understanding of the causes behind communist and socialist thought and movement, and if you had read Allama Iqbal in depth, you never would have posted such ill thought out and asinine comments!

  • Do you have any fucking idea what system is in the United States? What are the causes of rise and fall of nations??

I bet you have absolutely NO inkling of the continuous struggle nations have to endure over time to stay where the US is today!

  • Capitalism is Islamic system?? Capitalism cannot survive without Interest and Gambling...

do you have any idea?? Tell me one country that has progressed on Capitalism apart from 20 odd countries?

  • simply superb! very moving

  • I pray we can get a Lenin and Jean-Paul Sartre. Even if we don't we vow to make the country a true social democracy and get rid of fudal governments to bring harmoney

  • صورت شمشیر ہے دست قضا میں وہ قوم

کرتی ہے جو ہر زماں اپنے عمل کا حساب

  • wahhhhhhhh kia baat hai

  • the crooks are returning to mooch off and milk every last drop from this dais.

down with western puppets and lapdogs.

  • dude can u tell me where i can find the complete audio of this song....Thanks for putting it up!

I makes me cry and wanna listen to it 100000 times!

  • Thats our problem. We only shed tears while sitting in our comfortable rooms for bear footed children but not ready to buy them 1 pair of shoe because shedding tears is most easyiest thing and it requires no effort.

  • it begins with tears, insha allah

  • this seriously brought tears to my eyes...especially the children part

  • hahah...yar children part ka woh matlab nahi hai jo tum ne samjah liye hai...if you listen carefully again...yahan faiz ne gareeb bachoon ki baat nahi jasa ke video main nazar aa raha...yeh overall bachoon aur maoon ki baat ker raha hai, chahiye rich yar poor. yani dukhi is liye hain ke neend bhi aa rahi hai aur bacha bhi ro raha hai...:)

  • Down with Imperialism!

  • long live socialism

  • In the hand of the morning breeze is the softness of her hands;

While it lingers, this idea comes to my mind today -

Those hands are seeking in the place of the gathering

For where the scars of the heart are, where the seat of pain.

    - Faiz (Dast-e-Saba)

  • Thanks for sharing

  • The complete documentary on Faiz is now present at Google videos.

  • Could you please give me the link? I searched but did not find the documentary. Thanks.

  • what do i search for? i couldn't find anything.

  • Too good.....

  • great poem with same voice. but i think it not a complete one. please upload complete song and other poems by faiz. take it seriously. u can inform me by mail.

    reyaz

  • faiz great poet, very very sensitive to his surroundings to human emotions and feelings

  • great poet, but i guess Pakistan couldn't follow on what he said all his life and not only Pakistan it was a message for all humanity.

  • one of the best people Pakistan ever produced was Faiz. This video is not meant to be romantic at all. It is for you and me to feel the pain of poor people and start doing something in this regard rather than suggesting that it is romantic.

  • Ah, what a great video. Set in the Cold War where Faiz, the 'communist' of Pakistan, wrote these words. How pertinent even now! Bless his noble soul. And thanks for sharing.

  • heart rending

  • omg...only god can help those people...really emotional...

  • Very nice video

    very romantic

  • Romantic?... I would respectfully suggest you see this video again and read more about what Faiz was and what he wrote about?

  • I mean emotional

  • I have read some Faiz, and I don't see any reason why one can't call his work 'romantic'. His work is much like the work of Guevara, who wrote: "At the risk of seeming ridiculous, the true revolutionary is motivated by great feelings of love."

Anyways, you appear to be from Belarus. I think he might have some reputation in the former Soviet Union, after receiving the Lenin Peace Prize. Tell me if you have read his works? Are they available there?
