Of the many Wingy Manone Bluebird recordings that have been loaded on to Youtube, for some reason, one absolute classic is missing. When My Sugar Walks Down The Street backed by My Honey's Lovin' Arms was one Bluebird that every jazz fan in New York had in the 1940s when jazz records were really hard to come by due to the Musicians' Union strike. Anybody have this one to upload???
Wingy Manone frequently calls guitarist Nappy Lamare "Hilton" when they banter back and forth during songs. I recognize the voice of Nappy Lamare at the begininning of the song so I think thats him.
@marykmusic I love that. I have only been into jazz for about five years and know hardly anything I am glad from good friends who are well versed and have been into jazz for over 20 years, even still they don't know it all and sometimes can be surprised by something. Also How wonderful is you tube for finding something interesting.

Wingy starts his vocal by calling out to "Hilton". Could that be Hilton Jefferson?

@drzarkov39 Hilton is Nappy Lamare's first name.

This musician is new to me, although I've been studying jazz for decades, as well as playing it. Fun stuff!
