The novelty was in their footwork. I was a teenage girl at the time, and I was quite fascinated by it. I didn't think Freddie was that great looking, and I don't think he intended to be a hit with the girls. I found out years later that he was already close to 30 at the time. I much preferred Peter Noone (Herman of Herman's Hermits), who was still a teenager in 1965.
Love these tunes but these guyz were plum UG-LEE!!!!
