I am a classical music student and opera singer. This woman sings the aria far better then many others on youtube. but I am not as bothered from the high notes as from the coloratura-notes which are shortly before. nobody does them correct as written in the notes. Singers start them always to late and change it to a tremolo instead of singing note by note. Even Damrau does it correctly only at every 3rd try.

Natalie Dessay excels in acting, but her costume on the youtube clip wasn't threatening. Diana Damrau is the

ultimate performer of this aria. Her acting is non-pareil. Utter praise to the costumer and director. Diana was REALLY scary. Others never dastardly enough. It's hard to believe she's blonde.
