  • I got the pleasure of having Ron Stout invited to my Jazz History Class (Taught By Tom Kubis) Ron Stout is an excellent musician and a great person overall.

  • mmm... smooth as always, Ron.

  • Well, Ron's a really good flugelhorn player, too.

  • Uhh... as much as I love Ron Stout's music, I have to point out that this is a flugelhorn, not a trumpet... :|

  • gee, thanks for that...I thought it was a clarinet.

  • @kdfan Wow that's an old comment... well I think I was referring to the title of the video

  • mine, too

  • JEEPERS .Ron Stout is my favorite trumpet player in LA.

  • Ron stout is the real deal.He can hold his own with any jazz player in the world.ryan kysor sort of sounds like ron a little harmonicaly.

  • zomg Ron is teaching me at Saddleback!! :O

  • i met ron over a year ago from a friend that works out w/ him. knowing i was knew he sat down after playing a tune for me (the first song i ever played on drums"song for my father")and with pen & paper in hand shared everything jazz with me all the way back to the turn of the century, including his own amazing experiences.this went on for three hours (no joke) thats the kind of man he is. thank you ron sincerely, iasonas (jason)

  • I saw that vintage of the band in Glassboro NJ. The trumpet section was the best I've ever heard: Roger Ingram, Les Lovitt, Mark Lewis, Ron, and George Rabbai subbing on 5th! It was just ridiculous...

  • Ron is a wonderful player. I think that my friend Paul McKee played in that Woody band with Ron.
