This makes me think of the extreme SW coast of England where the climate is so mild that you can grow feather palms unprotected. Tresco Gardens, Scilly isles...
This game is a piece of art just the way it is. Unless the entire original team who made it come back together to make the add ons, forget it. It'll just be some other retards crappy graffiti all over this masterpiece.
Gotta agree, FFVIII, while having an amazing score and great combat/junctioning system, as well as amazing CGI/gameplay integrated segments, it's plot was filled with more holes and inconsistancies than any other FF
NO!! Do not ruin the memory of FF8. Square-Enix isn't worthy of remaking (ruining) anything else from Square's PSX days. Do you really want to see spinoff after spinoff of this game until the storyline sucks and people stop buying them? Let them keep doing it to FF7.
@IidoTheFox Have you played FF13?? Unreal shit. Don't even play it, it's a massive disappointment. No world map, no towns to explore, fuck all interesting abuot doing up weapons/magic. It is so unbelievably linear.
FF7 and 8 were two of the best (if not the best) games ever made (and 9 was stil great, just not as great). Sadly I don't think I'll ever get to play another game as good. I wish they would make some final fantasy games like the old 1s, cause the last few they made sucked balls.
while I think final fantasy VII and 10 had much more symbolic themes behind them that reflected our current world...final fantasy VIII i believe had a great story...but i may be biased since I played it so much....it had one of the best scores as well..the gameplay I was fine with but thats what I find people have the most problems with
If there were any redeeming factors to Final Fantasy 8, it was the following:
Triple Triad and the soundtrack. Final Fantasy has been very consistent with their soundtracks over the years. I have a huge respect for Uematsu and am glad to see him working on other things outside of Final Fantasy.

This and fishermans horizon hard to choose between the two. Probably give it to horizon though!

Very simple, calming, under-appreciated theme. I always loved going into Balamb Town when I was wandering around the continent. Awesome choice!

Square needs to fill up the holes now. They added so much to VII and nothing to VIII.

We sir are in agreement, I still want a remake with most of the problems I've had with the game hopefully fixed.

A very simple and stable yet beatiful song from Uematsu. Fits well with the sunny and peaceful town of Balamb.
