  • its defenatly a briggs and stratton from the 1950s i had one. thay are good engins when i found mine i freed up the piston and put a push to prime carb from a modren lauwn mower.. the hp boost from a big carb w spotless cleaned valves was off the wall me and another h.s. autoshop student could not bog down or stop the beast wih a block of wood at the crank shaft at highe rpm.. we wound up smoking the school out with our little horse power test

  • @capchassuck  thanks for viewing my video...It is a Model "N" B&S. I think they might have made them into the 50's, the most were made in the 30's and 40's a lot saw action in WW2.

    no it is not, has a standard ignition, points, condensor and coil...it's just out of tune

  • I think it's an old Kohler cast iron engine. I had one similar on a gokart for a while.....

  • Its a Briggs and Stratton model WI (5 fins on cylinder block, nomal suction carb, 6 bolt head, stubby shoud).

    Yes thanks. I think it is a B&S , ther is not a serial. I was cleaning in my shop area and I found another one I had that is simular and maybe a few years newer. I think they both came off of Torro whirl wind lawn mowers.
