  • 2:25 The strip of metal with the spot of rust on, do you know where you can buy that piece of from, On my Defender 90, its rusted in places and need repairing but i cant find what its called or where/how to fix it :(

  • @minitrundle

    not sure sorry.

  • what are the names of the songs in the vid? reminds me of the old games i played mate!

  • Dude for puting some stuff in u would be better getting a storage box just for safety

  • @Spaz123ish

Dude, That's what the vehicle is for.

    Boxes don't drive themselves.

If you mean the stowage units they are fine and I haven't had a problem :)

  • I love the LR Defender!

  • @MrJmfitch

    Glad that you do man!

  • @WatchRyder last one I drove was in a desert... white. That thing took constant abuse for the better part of a decade

  • only thing you need to keep a lany on the road is....a mig welder. :oP

i once replated a complete chassis bent roll cage and added a rover v8..

vroooom vroooom the boss rolled it first hill meet :o(

  • @weadone

    LOL! Nice moves man.

I wish I was there, I'd film it and YT it straight away before he could stop us :)

  • Mate.. You've done a great job there.. Keep it up.. There's always more to do! ;-)

  • Excelente restauración,en mi página hay unos videos de un land rover y de un defender son muy buenos vehículos mas cuando los caminos son difíciles.

  • I like the vehicle, but I don't know if I'd call that a restoration. More like a fix and touch-up.

  • @NoGuff

    It's an ongoing thing man.

  • There are things called hydrogen generators, some say they can save up to 60% of gas and its better for your engine. But i havent tried it yet.

  • @pipasasas

    Sounds good.

For Diesel LPG conversion's are no good.

However if this Hydrogen Conv. is the next fuel revolution I'm all for it.

  • Have you done any work on the engine?

  • @pipasasas

    Oil Changes and Filters man

  • Hi WR, at 1:22 your restoration works shows how you filled a hole in the rear crossmember with fibre glass, this is not good practice for several reasons. 1. The rear crossmember is structural (Chassis) & therefore subject MOT inspection, it will fail if the filler is found! 2. It should be plated (flush or overlapping) to maintain integrity for e.g. towing. 3. A collision could be serious if rear-ended! 4. You may get into other trouble because it isn't a satisfactory repair. Regards, DZ.

  • @DingleZilla

For hole's of less that one inch diameter there is not bs from the MOT man, trust me.

    The hole is no problem.

Fibre-glass is stronger than you think.

Spare me the Health and Safety diatribe mate. There really is too much of that around these days.

  • Brings back memories....I painted one of these once years ago when I had my shop....thanks for posting...aloha

  • Got one like that

  • You breathed new life into the old girl.

  • I really thought this was very well done and my Congrats and Koodo's to You my Friend. The Best part is that I also have a 66 Chevy 3/4 Ton I'm about to Refurbish for that day is coming soon to be Gone Permantly, I learned alot from your Video. Thanks for sharing and let me know how it's running, it looks Great Finished....

  • Awesome work Rick!

  • Very nice!

I always wanted to get a 110 or even a 90. But they are REALLY expensive here in America.

Also, did you get rid of the rust on the bumper before you re painted it?

  • @SeeYouNextFall

With Hammerite you don't have to, it's got a rust treating compound inside it.

For the non-bumper area's (steel) they were rust treated, primed and painted separately.

Yes it's a shame your country's transport division is so shitty against landrovers and importation of them.

Mine won't be eligible for import for many years yet...
