@SeACowPwn Yep! You called it. If you look at the lower right part of my messy UI you can make out three 3x4 grids in there. Each one represents the razer naga keypad. One is alt+keypad, one is ctrl+keypad, and the one closest to the center is the plain keypad. All the gaps you see in the UI are reserved for other classes when I'm running mixed groups. Heals/stances/buffs/totem management etc. They're blank here since I'm running only locks.

Honestly, nothing against private servers, but i have no clue how someone can play a private server and say they have never played retail...it baffles me.... personally i used to play private servers whenever my retail time ran out but never started on a private server :S

I would never play on a private server. So many people are wondering why PIPA and SOPA even came to be. Well, it's little things like this. People who spend their time and resources to create something great only to have it ripped off. If you're as good as you think you are, you shouldn't need private servers to demonstrate your skill. Also, support the original not some virus infected "private" server.

@LiangineStudios You're right. I probably probably over-made my point in response to they guy who "disapproved" of private servers. I've got nothing but love for Blizz since they created this game in the first place. I'll make the move to retail in the near future. For now, I'm having fun testing different combinations of classes for free until I find the team that works best for me. :)

The mobs pulling seperately and undead mobs being susceptible to fear lets you know easily this is a private server. Boss mechanics didn't seem the same as well. But it is a good showcase of warlock drain tanking. Makes me think of the good old days of tanking Leothras the blind on my lock.

@Denchanter357 Thx for info. I've never played retail so I didn't realize what the differences were. Next time I run FOS I'll pull the mobs all and once and avoid using fear completely and see how that goes. I'll probably go retail this coming summer and see how well my techniques translate over to the real thing.

@Denchanter357 There are many undead mobs that can be feared. Usually the casters aren't immune. It's good to know which ones can be feared because some groups suck so bad you need all the cc you can get.

@Denchanter357 i've played on 4 different private servers, it's true that the rates are higher than blizzard's (x2-x4 in general) but don't think that in 1 day you can get to 85 and full geared. most of them try to maintain a similarity to the official version of the game, of course with glitches and crashes since it's not paid for...

@Gazspachosoup I'm using Keyclone from solidice.com . I don't use any fancy features so probably any software would work the same for my purposes. I just need certain keystrokes to apply to each window. The rest is done in the WoW client with macros and bindings.

@Gazspachosoup X-Perl UnitFrames is the addon that shows the cast bars of the party members. As i recall, it just does this by default. It makes it much easier to keep track of what everyone is doing. If somebody isn't casting then you know they are cc'd/facing the wrong direction/OOM/LOS's/etc.and you can mouse over to their window and fix whatever the problem is.

Wow...I never expected this to have more that a dozen or so views. I just made it to show a few friends that afflocks can self heal reasonably well if they're spec'd right. But yes, this is a private server for those who asked or were wondering. Every effort is made to be as close to blizzlike as possible, but it's not the "real thing". Google ITRWoW and you'll see where this was done..

@wowdubbers get a proggy called Keyclone and an addon named Jamba from curse dot com. Set up multiple accounts and tie them in all together so your Master and Slaves cast the same spells.
