You "don't touch" people are absolute morons, They are not birds, look something up before you decide to preach your myths. A clean human hand is fine to touch the bunnies as long as it's not to the point that the mother becomes stressed, The mother usually will sit and watch the nest from a safe distance and only feed one to two times a day for about 5 mins, Their scent is stronger than the babies so they stay away from the nest as to not draw attention to them from predators,
Ohhhh, they are so precious. Well, if the mother won't take care of they after being touched by a human.......They are just the right size for finger sandwiches. Just like lamb, newborn bunny tastes best.
@chicagolandhobby Actually I am a wildlife rehabilitator in Texas and THAT IS A MYTH! Rabbits will NOT abandon a nest just because you touch it. Please don't call people stupid when you don't know what you are talking about.
i found baby bunnys my YARD TOO! i found 4 little baby bunnys! no baby bunnys have rabbies and my mom said i can only keep 1 =( BUT ITS OK! cuz i sold the rest for 300 each! i made lotz to get a new rabbit and that was the mother of the little one i found in the hole da rest i gave to my mom =) i named the little one carrot and the big one cookie =) but when the little one was big i let them go mom told me too cuz she did not like the smell. IT WAS SO HARD!!! i was crying for days!
you realize that those rabbits were most likely wild and will end up going wild on you later on in life and the fact you sold the other kits ( kits are what they call baby rabbits) the other probably came back to a empty nest
Wow. You touched them?! Stupid... even I know your not supposed to touch any newborns because the mother picks up your scent and never comes back. And I'm 12!

there were 5 bunnies. and yes, the mom still took care of them after i touched them. for a while we still saw 3 of the baby bunnies around. they're prob still somewhere in the neighborhood, all growed up.

You aren't supposed to touch them! If they have human scent on them then the mother might not come back.
