I'm not surprised that Red Wolves are coyotes. Just looking at their build, and comparing it with a Timber Wolf, it becomes quite clear they are just a Coyote species. Never the less, I still love them. <3

Red wolves, sadly, are coyotes.

And the Mexican wolf is really quite threatened.

But Mexican wolves are truly unique wolves in terms of their genetics-- but it's their funding that is going to be cut, not the red wolves.

Just a note, if ANY breeder tells you that they have a red wolf/dog hybrid, RUN FOR THE HILLS! THERE ARE NO SUCH CROSSBREEDS! The red wolf is a coywolf that is critically endangered that it is now a strictly protected specie and there is NO WAY any breeder could possible have one! Some may make up stories saying that a red wolf came into their garden and f***ed with their Malamute bitch but it's more likely that a wolf would much rather stay out of a human's turf than risk getting shot at!

@SasukeRox80 an interesting about red wolves is that they were found to be a descendant of wolf coyote hybrids which is why they are small for a wolf and have red coloration. They have varying ranges of wolf and coyote blood, but recently have been breeding mainly to coyotes, hence the disappearance.

And since red wolves are rare, it was obviously hard to find any good footage so they used other footage to make a good vid quality.
