for those worried about the taste and serving someone a shot of just vodka and someone else a shot of just grenadine, this is something you can legally serve to just one person, as its really only about an ounce to two ounces or alcohol so they are meant to taken in rapid succession which would balance out the taste.

@MrJohnnieKu It has no alternative, but it is really easy to prepare. Browse trough the videos on this channel, there are some short videos on how to make sweet&sour.

If you have no time to prepare it like in the video, just buy some lemons, make lemon juice, add sugar, stir till the sugar dissolves and voila you have your sweet&sour mix

Got it almost right on my 4th try, the taste is awful.. It just tastes wrong, you see the nice rainbow effect, but the taste is like 1 shot of every drink separately...and I don't know about you, but I do not like to drink a shot of sweet&sour on it's own, nor do I like to drink chemicals+paint that make up Blue Curacao on it's own. Mixed together they are good, separately the effect is nice, but the taste sucks, 10% color from the rest of the drinks, 90% taste of each drink separately.

Indeed this happens because drinks won't mix. If they mix you can't have this effect. Vodka helps a bit ( it mixes with orange suice and sweet&sour ) but as i said in an earlier comment it wont mix with grenadine and Blue Curacao, so the one who drinks the red shot will drink just grenadine, and the one who drinks the blue shot will drink just Blue Curacao ( which is shit alone )

@Italianduke85 It's just not worth the effort...looks good but tastes like crap. I have seen other rainbow effect videos like the skittles vodka and such, from what I've read about it, the skittles vodka also tastes like crap.

The only somewhat acceptable rainbow type of drink that I know of, is called nuclear rainbow, served in a shot glass,6 layers as I recall. Nice effect and you can actually drink it without feeling that you drank food coloring+chemicals+paint

@Jollyboy86 They'd either charge you per shot; so in the first bit he had 10 shots. Using the prices where I live as an example, that would run you about $5.75/shot (or more, depending on the bar) since they are using lots of different mixes. So a total of $57.50. OR if you have a sweet bartender (usually at smaller bars or a friend), they might charge you per oz of alcohol, in which case it might run you around $25 or so. The vodka and blue curaco are the only alcoholic ingredients.
