hello? banshee is a bike built for speed! and a raptor is built more for the endurance and the woods. put the raptor and banshee in the woods with hills and trees and alot of mud the raptor would smoke it. put them both on the road banshee will win because its built for speed.

That's how you ride a two stroke...They rev so freakin fast and get to different parts in their power curve so fast, that you have to short shift them.... Well in racing anyway..

Not to mention it is carbureted and has a V-twin, which is not a bad thing, but V-twin technology is primarily utilized on Utility ATV's not Sport ATV's. I'm not saying the KFX 700 is a bad quad, because it isn't. It's just not in the same class as the Yamaha Raptor 700R and the Honda TRX 700XX. If I had to go and buy a four wheeler today, it would be the 2012 Honda TRX 400X.

Modded is a whole different story, and it takes little to make them faster than a stock 450 or raptor. As for this race, the banshee raped him on the holeshot, and lifting the wheels didnt help. The guy on the banshee was shifting way too early, banshees need to be reved high, not short shifted.
@Rob3800GT Thats where you are wrong. I have owned a 05 YFZ450 and a 03 Banshee. I also rode my buddies Raptor plenty of times. I can tell you from a experienced rider who has riden and owned 4 strokes & 2 strokes for the pass 16 years that a Banshee will take a YFZ450 or a Raptor all day long. I can also tell you that 2 strokes own over 4 strokes. I think you belive just because YFZ's and Raptor's have higher cc engines they are faster. Wrong Buddy!

My 400 2T makes its power at 7200 rpm and will beat any stock bike. These newer four strokes are starting to keep up however since they are getting into the 10k-14k rpm range. Fourteen thousand sounds like riding a hand grenade to me...
LOL I think I could tune my bike for 8000 rpm's and future proof myself from four strokes for another 10 years.
4 strokes are nice if you want low smooth and reliable, but if you want as much power as possible, get a 2 stroke. How else can you get that much power out of a 350cc? If you take the time to do a little extra maintenance, you will never go back to 4 strokes. I wasted a lot of money trying to make my Rator be able to keep up with my friends' Banshees before I got smart and got my own. There's no contest, and that's with stock bore and stroke.
That raptor had a shitty start. I gotta buddy with a basically stock Raptor 700 (he put some kind of aftermarket exhaust pipe on it) that has unreal acceleration and speed. Then again, it might just be that big bad 700 in it.
My raptor 700 turned a 9.49 @ 69.9 mph on old fuel that has been setting in it for 1 year. That was only the 2nd pass I have ever made with it at the track.

@4allstar4 he may have known how to ride but his quad had no anti squat and he must have had wrong kind of tires because he should not have wheelied like that, the raptors torque isnt usually that excessive down low... but it gets crazy soon as you hit mid range... my guess is his quad wasnt set up for dragging because ive seen many a raptor tool all but the fastest of banshees(not that that banshee wasnt fast, took off like a rocket!)

I was there. Raptors are great trail quads, but they aren't that fast in a straight line. Been there done that... People think bigger is better, I hear it all the time, "oh your 450 is faster than 700???" YUP!

My uncle has a raptor 660 limited edition and a bashee 350 twin and his banshee has had nothing but problems but is faster by a lot. Raptor is nice looking and hasnt had a problem. I like the way the raptor looks and performs so for my first quad it will probably be my choice.

I was there. Raptors are great trail quads, but they aren't that fast in a straight line. Been there done that... People think bigger is better, I hear it all the time, "oh your 450 is faster than 700???" YUP!

My uncle has a raptor 660 limited edition and a bashee 350 twin and his banshee has had nothing but problems but is faster by a lot. Raptor is nice looking and hasnt had a problem. I like the way the raptor looks and performs so for my first quad it will probably be my choice.

I think the raptor is ugly and the banshee looks sick! even if the raptor didnt wheelie he would of at best been a nose ahead with twice the displacement.some people say 2strokes are old technology and 4strokes are faster but it seems like all they did was make the motors twice as big and tweak them a bit,make a 4 stroke with similar displacement faster then ill buy in to the bull shit
