i dont know much about shammies but even if their dps did suck(which it doesnt) they are really meant to buff the raid (or party idk if totems work on raid, is this true? i raid with a shammy alot and their dps is generally lower than the fury warriors or the rogues but dps of the other melee classes shoots up

Try playing a shaman at 60 in 40 man raids. Dps or not, sometimes offhealing was needed so you need 40 raid tabs, also needed tabs for the tank and the other 2-3 offtanks needed for some fights. Need threat meter,and i had the dps meter up for the video. Most classes only need a target and the 3 buttons they use in a fight, as a shaman you need to keep track of far more things.

I play a shaman as well, though I specced resto so I'm limited to healing. I can see why you would need all that, I'm just saying I would have a hard time playing with all that on my screen, not that your UI sucks. I use a lot of the addons you use excluding the dps meters. I'm actually curious as to what addon you use to have your chat boxes organized at the bottom there.

yeah ive tried this build, its cool when the stars align and u destroy an epic warrior in 4 seconds...but elemental has no synergy with enhancement itemization...so generally you run with a really crummy spell crit rate.

/cheer the guild that accepts Shaman DPS. I before TBC was in a AQ40 guild on twin emps. I respecced enhance for a session in ZG as it is a easier instance and wiped the floor with all other DPS apart from Whamp (ex highwarlord mage. LB eu) yet back on thew real raiding it was back to healing. >.<

I see Shamanistic Rage on your bar. You're constantly oom it seems does it work well or often? 2085mana with all your procs/buffs/preps on seems like a lot for 15% chance.

I use fetish of the sand reaver to start every fight, so everyone passes me out and leave me alot of room to do damage. When i made this one "spirit weapons" wasnt properly giving -15% melee attack threat, it is now and aggro is MUCH easier to avoid, esp with the trinket.

i would say try and get into a group of non tanks, and ask them if they mind you dropping tranquil air. many times they wont mind, as then they can spend their resources on more dps rather than aggro dumps. threat should also be easier to manage in TBC with pally blessing of salvation.
