In a short while 3 AGV lanes will be operational under the Cranes (currently only 1) In addition the second Crane trolly shall put in operation. This all together will not be marginally but significant !!

I know of the improvements going on, and they will help, but only marginally, since the software at the terminal is not the problem. Fundamentally AGV are not efficient in contrast to other operations, even automated operations.

Just look at the kind of performance the same software gets at the APMT Virginia site.

Nice video. Pitty the terminal is so slow due to those AGV and ZPMC cranes that keep breaking down.

Don't think so..this week-end a turnover of 100 containers in one hour with 4 cranes

25 moves per hour might be considered good for an AGV terminal. But many sites do more than twice that rate. Which is also why nearly every single new automated terminal in the world is not going with AGV.

The goal is much higher than 25 Moves per hour. This number will increase considering that a lot improvements are on going on this new Terminal. Also that this number is including stacked and ready for delivering.

Hoi hans,

Heb hem ook in hd gezien en ziet erg nog beter uit.

Sorry,had er niet bij stilgestaan dat het idd aan de landzijde nog niet veel te doen was.

Hoop dat het een stuk beter gaat lopen als bij de buurman.Was vandaag ivm drukte 2 1/2 bezig geweest om in te leveren.

Maar we wachten vol spanning af.

In de eerste instantie is dit bedoeld als hommage aan de medewerkers die er aan gewerkt hebben. De landzijdige afhandeling maak ik pas wanneer het wat drukker wordt. Er is in het hoofdgebouw een kantine op de eerste etage mocht je erge nood hebben.

Het is indrukwekkend de nieuwe terminal,de techniek staat niet stil,dat blijkt wel weer.

Maar vind het jammer dat je eigenlijk alleen de procedure ziet vanaf de boot naar het stack.

Ben chauffeur en ben er 2 keer tot nu toe geweest maar(nog voor de opening)en ben bang dat het in de toekomst(als er meer auto's naartoe gaan) het nog wel eens problemen gaat geven.1 heel groot minpunt als chauffeur zijnde:GEEN KOFFIE EN GEEN WC,erg jammer.

+punt:personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
