  • Thats pity that the keyboard has no sequencer.

  • nice

  • This was fucking NICE!

  • love it

  • I just bought one of these amazing machines and I have to say it's an awesome synth! The funniest part is I still don't know how to use bearly any of the functions and it's still the best! :D Who agrees?

  • I agree... it rocks

  • Still x50 is no match to x5d when it comes to power and durability...^^

  • Yah I'm with you but the only thing that really blows is they don't make em anymore so there hard to find! -_- It really sucks!

  • very nice work!!

  • Awesomeness! And that's not a word I use everyday! x]

  • ekstea music

  • Nice!!!

  • xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx!factor

  • Great !

  • yeah it he music loses its feel with the clap, but nice job otherwise.

  • id just use a 909 snare or something. its really rare that i think claps sound good. nice tune though

  • Sounds great, I think if you replaced the clap with a more sombre or muted sound, it would sound much better.

  • that was a sick version of Xfiles theme i actually have a trance/techno version of the Xfiles theme song and it sounds somewhat similar to this...sounds amazing nontheless very nice job bro

  • I like how you did it in the dark

  • Thanks. I thought it was a pretty cool effect too. lol :)

  • it would be better with more of an electro drum beat

  • nice one dude! i've heard that song so many times but you have taken it to a whole new level! SWEET!

  • way cool... is this a builtin combi or something you created?

  • I think the backbeat is built in. I overwrote it tho so I couldn't even tell you what it was. I think it was called People are Watching or something like that.

    - DonMusic

  • just missing that one dude lol!

    and the unsolved mysterys song

  • verry good..greats from berlin ;-)

  • very good job

  • what are the notes to this?

  • What are the notes to what? X-Files or my piece?

    - DonMusic

  • I have a Motif ES and find the Korg sounds better. (considering getting myself a TR)

  • fuckin beautiful!

  • sweet dude! is the X50 just a stripped TR?

  • I am not familiar with the TR but from what I hear yeah it doesn't have sequencing. But I use Reason for my sequencing.

  • Great sound, great playing :)

  • Very well done.

  • Thanks :)

  • I always gravitate towards the X-50 in music stores! Love the playing and the sounds. Is that a Yamaha Motif underneath?

  • I wish! :) No, it's a Yamaha PSR2100. Nice Workstation. Cost more 2nd hand than the Korg did brand new. :)

  • damn, nice... finally some chilling music, and not oversized ego's, throwing everything at ya... ;)

  • Thanks. The non-xfiles music was my old 80's and 90's stuff that was in my head that night. :)

  • Wow you could land a record deal. You would do great in the trance and techno genere. Kudos man

  • Kewl thanks. I am heading down to the music store where i got my board to get a new toy. I am not sure what I want yet. I may get some software which will blow what I have out of the water. It will take my music to a whole new level and add depth like I have never before even imagined. The only thing is, is that the software costs about $500. :(

  • Dear Don,

you did a great job! I listen to your version of the x-files song all through the day on my mp3-player because of its light and elegant sound-composition. You are a great artist, thank you!

    Bernd

  • Wow... Thank you for that complement. It is nice to hear that it sounds good and such but to hear that I am a great artist brings this day to a cheerful end, knowing that someone appreciates my music that much to put it on an MP3 player. :) You have encouraged me to create some more. Thanks!

  • Very awesome! Sounds like you've had the keyboard for4 years. Excellent!!! I have the X50 but alls I do are covers.. maybe I should take a shot at using one of those amazing combis and make my own version of a popular song.

  • I have only had it since November '06. I have been playing keys for years tho. Since the 80's IT's a great little board tho the X50 is. It helps bring out my creativity. It can do the same to you. Give the Combi's a shot.

    - Don Music

  • Heey, not bad. I'll give you 5 =)

Bought the X50 a couple of weeks ago, just soo lovely...

  • Yes, it is. It is the most versatile board I have owned and with the best sound quality. It was also the least expensive of all the boards I have owned.

    - Don Music

  • That was sweet! Any way you can put a link for a downloadable version?

  • You mean you want to download my music? Wow, I feel honored. That was my first run of it. In time I could clean it up a bit and email it to ya. Thanks again for your request. It makes me think that I am not just doing this to hear myself play. :)

    - Don Music

  • Oh it is cool! And I make X-Files music videos so would love to have some 'original' music to use for them.....if that is OK with you

  • Sure that would be great. If you would like I could arrange the music to your video. Like if I knew what it was and how long I could musically narate. Like record the music so it matches the timeline of the video.

  • Great dude, I'm gonna buy a X50 :)

  • It is a really sweet board!
