  • I'm getting the Eken M002 apad. It's affordable and does more than the ipad.

  • Simple

    1. Netbook

    2. Kindle

    3. iPhone with phone removed

    4. iPad

  • IPAD is the best thing that happened to me last 10 years!!!!!!!!

    Easy to use

    is stable.

    Easy.

    fast,

I use it when I was in bed, bathroom, lunch, car ....

IPod has made a new history that is only now beginning.

These are the days when the others see what iPad has to offer ....

    Rating for Ipad 10 +++++++++

  • gotta be honest, thought the title said "Apple Ipad vs Kidney"

  • this video was released on the 29th of jan 2010, so why does the intro, the music and the video quality look like it was from the 90's?

  • They're "E-Book Readers" Not computers. Keyword there, Book, Book.... Booooook!

  • ipad sucks apples

  • why would kindle even be in this... thatsl ike saying... iPhone vs droid vs a dining room table.... they don't do the same things at all...

  • @meachy13 More like a dining table and a desk. :)

  • You're SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DUMB.

  • ask for free Ip@d here ipad 2 go dot info

  • its a book reader

  • well the kindle is a ebook reader, and much cheaper, and you say "theres no movie support" of course there isn't.

  • The downside to the Orange is that there isn't any red skin like Apple.

  • iPad win i one iPad and love it

  • Kindle is better

  • ipad has LED display...

  • @uNamed2lyfe led is basically lcd with backlighting. Thats why the full name is led lcd. dumbass

  • @samklee96 but its better than kindle's display faggot.

  • dude wtf the kindle IS A BOOK READER

  • comom! man show some enthusiasm!! ur face looks like a robot xD

  • Jhnrcknjr, you'd moan if they used an HDD over NAND FLASH because they break too often, and FLASH is more reliable. What a poor reason to be miserable.

  • You talk lyk a robot :L

  • why cant apple make something with a hardive worth the money there selling it for. This a realy big ipod touch: same small hardrive. delicte abd easily cracked or dented, and completly useless compared to how much its spose to be. MICROSOFT FOR LIFE!1

  • Netbook are slow as fuck kindles are ebooks dumbass and the ipad may have some problems but the quality is so much better then the kindle and i have a netbook and its horrible

  • @MidgetNachos I, myself own an ipad and a macbook but seriously!!! Netbooks are slow? What the fuck???! "kindles are ebooks" ??? Well I really thought that kindles are ebooks READERS!!!! Let's not be brainless fanatics and let's appreciate whoever is best at whatever they are supposed to do, this was a fair comparison, 'cuz there are peoples out there actually wondering if they should go for a netbook, a kindle or an ipad, this was just some insight for them!!! You sir, are the real dumbass!!!!

  • netbook ftw!

  • Pause. It at 0:24 it looks like he's possessed or something.

  • This is like comparing a Ferrari to a Toyota to a Ford. -_-

  • i live in canada and i use ibooks why do people overlook s stupid idiots

  • get your facts right** iBooks store is availible in all countries, otherwise the iPad would be a no go for the other billion people waiting to get their hands on this marvellous device! hahaha Soulquarium "please god, tell me he didnt just say that" hahaha

  • this guys voice is putting me to sleep... and he some of the stuff he's talking about is wrong...

  • he was reading the entire time. and he is also adopted. so that's funny too.

  • The iPad was released in January? what??!!

  • @ksbcrocks ... Announced in January...

  • Well, I have & love both the Kindle & the iPad. The iPad is beautiful, no doubt... love the color display, especially for newspapers, etc. Also the apps & so many fun features. I also enjoy reading at night with the iPad, because it is backlit. But with that said, I often like to read outside in the sunlight, and the iPad backlit LCD screen makes that near impossible without some type of shade over the screen. The Kindle I can read in sunlight (at the beach, etc.), without glare on the screen.

  • there is something wrong with that guy...

  • $699? are they high? you can buy a real tablet pc for that.

  • u can see from his eyes he's reading somthin so he's stupid dont take what he sais

  • Obviously the apple salesman here doesn't have a scientific mind. Why,

because the iPad outputs light and is continually on which is harmful for your eyes.

Where the "e-ink" in the Kindle is changed by an electrical current and remains in an off state while reading. So the Kindle only reflects light as a book would so it is not harmful to your eyes like an iPad is.

Don't be fooled by flashy graphics, the kindle is a reading tool where the iPad is more of a leaded plastic toy.

  • Some new netbooks now have touchscreen

  • i bought one 64gb

  • i have not heard a thing about a netbook.

  • Ipad is well worth it if its jailbroken...

  • kindle y did u bring that up?

  • i give ipad two thumbs WAY WAY up! y? well in my case, i love reading. ebooks are probably the coolest thing ever. (if only my school books were ebooks, lighten the load u kno?) anyways if kindle had something like mypad i might reconsider, but with mypad i have been downloading ebooks like crazy. catches my eye? download it. y? cuz its free. y is it free? cuz im a member of mypad.

    mypad[dot]str8goods[dot]info

  • iPad could use a camera ... I wonder why they did not put one in ... disassembly videos show that there seems to be room for it ... so what gives apple?

  • @themountainviewguy minor upgrade more money, just like iphone from 1st gen to 3g to 3gs.minor useless upgrade that sells millions.

  • i wish it had a webcam. and with the iphone 4th gen rumored to have one i just don't get it. everything else is good. and i dont mind the lack of flash.. who cares, most websites will port over to html5 (many already have) or make apps for the device itself like abc for watching their episodes.

  • It's a new iUseless product...

  • Nope going to wait for 2nd gen hopefully they will make a better one

  • Movies???? Movies!!!??? What the hell!? It's an E-Book Reader!!

  • 2:49 - his GF accidentally bit it ; )

  • my dad will buy me this, and then i will get the iphone OS 4.0 in the fall

  • This guy doesn't know what he is talking about, iPhone OS 4.0 is coming to iPad in the fall - with multitasking - and you can use the camera connection kit to connect to a camera via USB or SD card.

  • oh man my 50 inch tv is just a bigger version of my 10inch tv, why did I bother buying it.

  • IPad Rocks

  • Ipad=Ipod touch after eating 50 donuts

  • its a sexy device but really... no flash, no multitasking, no USB. fucking complete waist of time

  • i prefer kindle

  • I really don't understand the purpose of the iPad. It's expensive, it's not a laptop, it's pretty much like an iPhone/iPod touch but bigger, it supports books.. woo hoo.

Why pay $500-$800 for an iPad, when you can actually physically buy a NOVEL and carry it around.. it will be cheaper, and surely you don't read 2 or 3 books at the same time. Not to mention you have to pay for a data plan for an iPad.

My point mainly, either KINDLE or BUY A FUCKIN' BOOK.

  • @AnatomyofPaparazzi

Think of the iPad as a medium sized window into the internet and all that it can do ... with some power, local memory, and excellent battery life and very portable. I test drove both Kindle/DX and I prefer the iPad because I more often want to read in the dark and have to have e-paper to read in bright sunlight on the beach or something.

The Amazon Kindle store I still prefer, and i wish the iPad had a camera. Kindle turns pages really slow, can read faster on the Pad.

  • @themountainviewguy

"Think of the iPad as a medium sized window into the internet and all that it can do..."

Not true. The iPad doesn't support Flash. That alone is a SEVERE limit on what the iPad can do. Like youtube or google vids? guess what you need to watch them. That's right, Flash Player 7.0 or higher. Fact is, the only visd you can watch are those downloaded directly to the iPad, and with a max of only 64GB, you'd better pick and choose carefully.

  • @AndrewDeLong

Lol. I take back the youtube thing. Apparently, youtube has something going with Apple where you don't need Flash Player. Fact is, iPad still doesn't support it (Flash Player).

  • @AndrewDeLong

It sure is true, and I don't like being called a liar, AH. Flash was a proprietary solution to a problem, and it sucks ... sucks CPU, memory, etc. Like Flash, fine, I respect your opinion, but there is no need to say what I said is not true, unless you are just a total yutz ... and you did note that there is a you-tube app, as well as an ABC app where I watched the last episode of Lost. So what is your real agenda that you would rudely namecall over something you don't know?

  • @themountainviewguy

Well my real agenda is to get people past the hype campaign. I don't deny the fun factor that iPads have, but I cna't really see them as a work effective tool for this 1st generation model. They lack even simple multitasking ability, and regardless of how bad flash may be, not possessing it is still a downfall. I'm sorry, but from a tech spec P.O.V, I can't take the iPad as seriously as even an average netbook. For fun, sure, go iPad, for work, go anything else.

  • @AndrewDeLong iPad is not a desktop computer, it's an appliance that works for me. I compare it to a Kindle, email, video, radio, maps, phone w/ Skype. Appropriate & welldone engineering for what exists today. I tried and returned 2 Kindles, but now read on iPad. Your opinion is fine, I have no problem with your choices, but it does not make me wrong, & you were at least uninformed. iPad is middleground-a nano-sixe desktop does not exist yet, its not perfect, but neither is anything else.

  • @themountainviewguy

But that's just it. Yourself aside, people are comparing it to desktops, and I find it laughable at best that they would do so. Like I said, if you bought it for fun, and don't try to justify it for anything beyond that, fine. But once you ("you" being a general term here) start to TRY to justify it, comparisons will be made, and the iPad just doesn't compare. It is nothing more than an expensive toy, which is fine. Oh, when I read, I read books, no need for batteries :P

  • @AndrewDeLong

People who compare it to desktop are about as relevant as people who would go camping and whine and complain about their camp stove not having a digital light on it, and being able to cook a turkey.

Why are you so desperate to dismiss the iPad, if you don't have one, don't know much about it and are so biased that you have to judge rather that be informed, I'd say you have a real problem. The point for me is that it is not a toy, it is extremely useful, portable internet window.

  • @themountainviewguy

Actually, I have read numerous reviews on it, looked at all the specs, WATCHED just about every review under the sun. Some PC biased, some Apple fanboy biased, and some neutral. I have just about as an informed opinion on it as I can get w/o blowing $500+ to get one myself. From what I gather, it is merely a larger iPhone or iPod touch. Again, I am biased against the hype, not the product. Even so, some customer reviews I have read are far more critical than I am on it.

  • cont....

As I have said, until this thing can obtain even BASIC multitasking capabilities, I can't take this as a serious, work related product. So far, all that you have said that you do with this thing can be done with any modern cell phone, and for much less money. I'm sorry, but iPad Generation 1 is just a toy. Generation 2 might be different, but with Steve Jobs' failing health and lessened presence in the Apple company, I can't even see how that is possible.

  • @AndrewDeLong

You cant take reading/writing email seriously. how much stuff do you have to do at one time? when i read a book i dont need to do other stuff, or when i watch video, listen to an audio book, music, whatever. the one thing i dont care about is games. i'm farsighted so i dont like cellphones that i can barely see, especially to watch video on. ipad compares well with other devices, i don't need a desktop in it, but eventually it will be there someday. for now i like it.

  • @AndrewDeLong well you did not know it had a youtube app. but you are not getting my point, i don't care how critical you are, i am not against criticism in the least, i am against incivility and talking without knowing. i was not going to get an ipad for many reasons. i ended up in the apple store for something else and used on a few times, and realized i could use this thing as imperfect as it may be. dont care if others do not buy it, eventually they will as it gets better, for me it works

  • @themountainviewguy

Well, that's true that I did not know about the youtube app, but I checked immediately after I posted and corrected myself. As for multitasking, well...as I type this I am doing two or three separate things on my computer. This for one, listening to some music, rendering a movie, and so forth. As for email, a cell phone is fully capable of that (for those of us that use them). As for liking it for what it is, good for you, but me, I'll wait for the 2nd or 3rd generation.

  • @AndrewDeLong

You want to be able to render a movie on an iPad and that's your complaint? Sorry that is hard not to laugh at. It is not a computer, its an appliance. Someone could write you an app so you can connect to your home computer via VPN and control the rendering of movies on that, that is the kind of thing the iPad is good for. The iPad does stuff that a phone is not capable of.

I cant email on a cellphone, seeing ? writing is a problem, but I can type fast on the ipad

  • @themountainviewguy

Oh Good Lord no! I would never want to render a movie on an iPad. Hell, the programs I use, I barely want to touch anything less than a Mac Pro or the PC I'm currently on. My point was, I can multitask on ANY PC, yet iPad users will have to wait until at least Fall of this year to even hope to begin to do that. As for cell phones, I know you said you have vision issues, which is why I said for "those of us that use them" in my last statement. Still, pencil and paper = typing

  • @AndrewDeLong

The point is that no sane person is going to do real "work" on an iPad, it is special purpose device. I don't think multitasking will add that much to it. When I pull out the ipad it is for some reason, read email, book, watch video, ... I don't sit at my iPad and move and forth between things at a frequency where multitasking is really going to help that much. It might be convenient to switch faster between apss, but that is going to cost speed and memory, i don't need it yet

  • @themountainviewguy

Well, at least we both have a shared definition of sanity! Lol :P

  • I would kill myself if I had to read books from the iPad. I love the e-ink feature of the kindle and other comparable devices. Unless the iPad comes way down in price, I am not getting one. Too many non-existent features that I would like to have.

  • @MrC0MPUT3R

I was worried about the egonomics and ease of reading on the iPad ... I think it is better. I would rather read in low or dark light than in bright sunlight. How many people really want to read in bright direct sunlight. Epaper is slow and monochrome. I don't want to bash the Kindle, Amazon started something good, but I prefer the Kindle store & iPad myself.

  • IPAD Should DO something ABOUT FLASH!!!!!

FLASH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT AND MANY WEBSITES USE FLASH!!!

Its a very Big DOWNSIDE for IPAD....

Till that time stop comparing with near to NoteBOOK!!! please

  • @iqbali4u

Maybe iPad will do something about Flash, maybe it will motivate sensible people to get rid of it and move to a simple, efficent open source media streaming solution that is non-proprietary and does not use so much power.

  • Already got one

  • " The downside to the Kindle DX is that there isn't any support for movies". Please God, tell me he just didn't say that.

  • @Soulquarium Well it's actually very very exciting to watch a movie in e-ink xD

  • @Soulquarium haha

  • Ur looking fucking scary....!

  • @ocbeach11

Sorry I ran out of space listing all the ways netbooks are superior to the iPad.

You can put your own media players, custom media codec packs, your own videos, your own software. No limits with what you can do or what programs you can install. Did I mention netbooks have Flash? Actual multitasking, a real keyboard. Netbooks have USB ports, HDMI ports, webcams, and mic's for video chat.

The final differance is that netbooks are 200$ to 500$ cheaper then an iPad.

  • @ocbeach11

This is bullshit, netbooks dont require maintenance. They have flash, they have longer battery life then an iPad. When you pay 500$ for a netbook you get a 320gb hard drive instead of 16gb's with a 500$ iPad.

Let me see what else is there...

More powerfull CPU, more Ram, more storage space, Option of puting Windows XP, 7, linux or even OSX on it. Pinetrail netbooks get 11 to 14 hours bettery life,

  • I have an Ipad, it does everything I do when I am on the road. Web surfing and writing. But this guy is an idiot saying the kindle does not support movies, it is an ebook reader. Why not point out that the ipad and kindle and netbooks will not drive your car for you too?

  • hate spending 10 dollars on ur favorite book? why not pick up an ipd for 500 bucks! youll read the same exact story, and will not need to have that annoying book in ur bookshelve

  • The kindle doesnt play movies? I dont understand how people compare the Kindle to the iPad for anything other than reading. The Kindle is an EREADER nothing more. If you want to compare it to anything try the netbook. Makes way more sense

  • It's so gay how the 3G Models bump up the base price. The 16GB iPad 3G should stay at $499; just keep the monthly rates. What's the extra $130 for? Just to beat the fuck out of my wallet and put an evil smile on Steve Jobs's face.

  • @youmils03 yes..because you don't have to put anything else into the ipad for it to receive the 3G signal..it works on magic!

  • @youmils03 You think it costs nothing to ass a 3g antenna? Apple doesn't charge monthly rates

  • @johnmonk66 Yes it does. It charges like $14.99 for 250MB of data or something like that.. and $30 for unlimited. But why pay this if I already pay $629 for the 3G Model at the beginning? Shouldn't it be EITHER the $130 extra at the base price OR the monthly rates but NOT both?

  • @youmils03 Apple is not charging 30 bucks a month, the phone company is, why should apple add hardware so the phone company can make money? If the phone company wants to, they can give you your 150 dollar discount when you sign a two year contract.

Your point of view is invalid, why should I pay more for a luxury car when gas is more expensive for it? Lexus should sell cars as cheap as Kia because I will be spending more on gas.....see how it works yet? Your arguement makes no sense

  • @johnmonk66 Your argument is stronger and more accurate than mine. I now understand your point. The phone company (AT&T) and Apple are not necessarily on the same "financial team". So what's best now is what you said; if you pay for 3G data on the iPad for 24 months (and of course the $629 at the beginning), AT&T should give you the $130 back (AFTER 24 months). Or at least, after 24 months, AT&T should discount the price of their 3G Network (ex: save 25% per month).

  • @youmils03 Glad you got it, lol. The Iphone is a 600 dollard device, the only reason people get them for 200 is because AT&T pays the difference if you sign a contract. But so far AT&T is not offering any plans for the Ipad, except the monthly no contract plan. But that is good too..get the minimum plan one month, the Ipad will warn you before you go over your limit, then you just upgrade. Or if you travel a lot, you can just pay for the 3g while on vacation and you need it

  • Anyone with a little knowledge about netbooks will never buy an Ipad.

  • I'd rather have a kindle.

  • What do you mean there's no support for movies on the Kindle?

    It's a BOOK READER!

    What is wrong with you?

  • @Tomoe1868 Hmnn... seems some BOOK READERS "do" support movies nowadays, as well as music and apps.

I wonder if that's what the phrase "Paradigm Shift" means?

  • @Tomoe1868

He's a Jackass! Probably has no idea what a book is. ...LOL

  • @Tomoe1868 no. he is saying that the dx and the ipad cost the same but the dx is limited in what it can deliver. at least that's how I took it.

  • dang if u don't like it don't watch the video, but i do wish it had adobe flash support and a camera...............but i still think apple has the best touch screens and at that size it is a good price...........i want one

  • i am getting one. It has far better browsing and email than a netbook and it also has iwork (hell yeah!)

  • 2:47 WTF?

  • kindle is better for reading as far as i know due to paper view with electronic ink display and long lifetime battery and it encourages pure undistracted reading

  • Ipad may prove a good tool for students.

  • all the negative comments...... wow! I would say that technology is good..... Apple has figured out how to make great products, many of you think are overpriced..... life is to short. If you can't afford it, don't hate the products. Ipad might be a waste, but it is very cool.

  • ipad sucks for reading(radiation) so i go with the kindle know what im sayin.

  • >radiation

There's no radiation emitted from that device. That's crazy talk.

  • ipad sucks period why would i pay money for an overprice ipfone device on steroids.

  • @sc0pl355

Is there any iPad video you haven't visited son?

  • @zonexll

Look at you stalking me. Are there any iPad vids that you haven't trolled IN ONE DAY?

  • Well, then don't... It's a free country... :-)

  • Radiation from a LCD screen? WiFi?

The iPad and the Kindle share a 3G connection.

What radiation do you speak of?

  • iPad is con! If you wanna read from an LCD screen, get a netbook. If you don't go for kindle! Hell, get a netbook AND a kindle! it'll still be cheaper!

  • @darkprinciples

Good point. The thing of it is Apple always build sleeper technology into their systems. They come back later and sell you a firmware and software update.

  • Down with iPad! What about Iriver?!!!

  • But ? ... Is Kindle better for reading, because of its monochromatic screen?

  • @plaina not at all

  • What makes you say that?

  • not at all??? you dont know shit about ereaders... kindle has e ink of course is better for reading, ipad is not for an ereader

  • @plaina

The kindle is great if everything you read is in black and white. I would alread have bought one if they had a color screen. I read a lot. But most of the things I read have color drawings or images in the text.
