i;m english educated but I love this singer voice.......................re­minds me of my teenage years,,,,,he was so famous in Malaysia and,,then spreading to,, Singapore.! All of sudden he met an accident !!! He could compete with the best from Taiwan and HK at that time................

it is a very good song, n in the 70's, he was everyone idol, whether young or old, men or women, his death was really a lost to the music industry n he passed away when he was at his top career

From the time I was small, I used to listen to the Musical 长恨歌 everyday, played by my neighbours on their record players. Sometimes, we would borrow the record and play it in our house. I have it on CD now.

Beautiful Iris, th u so much for opening the door to yet another wonderful Chinese,Japanese,Okinawa,Tao singer. I am late in life to discover this beautiful language, it all is sung with such heartfelt emotion, i do not even need to understand the language. Sad some of the greatest singers die young.

Grateful to irisinthesun!As a schoolboy I listened and listened to his songs. His voice is so choking full of emotion and originality.Brought back lots of fond memories. Yes, he is truly one great Malaysian singer. As a Singapore school boy, I felt so proud that he hailed from our region instead of always from Taiwan and HK.His untimely death was a huge blow for all his fans. I, for one shed silent tears too. How I miss him and his songs! Hope his memory lives on forever.

Hello, tankulai. Thank you for sharing. Please feel free to ask. Those days, videos were uncommon and TV shows in Malaysia featuring Chinese songs were rare. VHS was not around and weddings were photographed, not taped... so even Lee's wife and daughter might not have any movie clips! I am so sorry!

Welcome, Bernard. They did sing and perform together in sketches during their tours. Those were released on vinyl and cassette recordings. Please do ask. I will answer in the best way I know. :-))
