I'm pretty sure the airport shuttle bus is mainly used for people that work at the airport. I know at least 5 people that ride it at different hours throughout the day for their shift. And you know the lamest part, half the time that shuttle doesn't run until the end of their shift or starts after they need to be at work. This is what flips me off, people who refuse to get a car and actually drive to work then complain about how expensive taxis are so they need someone to pick them up. Maybe t
One thing that was missed due to editing was that the city will have to pay almost the same amount (just under $500k) this year for up keep of those "fancy" lights. We'll be sure to not miss those important details in the upcoming shows. Also Woody, in regards to the foliage by the river, great point! A patch of grass and trees are far superior to cement. That could be another topic.
The lights are all ready up and running. As I'm sure you know, Fox, LED lights are very inexpensive to run. It would probably cost more money to take them down than to leave them running. And, they're nice.
Maybe they should stop paving all the beautiful foliage by the river... Just a thought.
Re Airport Bus: It's not just for going to the airport. A lot of people who work on airport drive and anywhere on the way to the airport, also use that bus route. I used to when I worked over there, and sometimes, it's full...sometimes with smelly people.
And Myles, awesome pothole rant. You just said what we're all thinking. I'm sure the city can afford to fix the potholes. Say, maybe with the money saved if they take down the Victoria bridge lights.
