But anyway, fuck the lawyers too. u people can talk lah to those public who are not well versed with law. normally clients look fow lawyers whom they already know & appoint. This 1 is the other way round. I understand that the police have certain powers of detention under the Criminal Procedure Code.

However, as in all laws, there must certainly be some checks and balances as in the Constitution to prevent the domination of either party in the forms of rights.

Hence, the need of trained lawyers who are able to advise their clients as to what their rights are and what the limits of the police are.

Our police seems to have gone wild of late - intimdating Perak PR assemblymen by filming their residences, preventing Perak state executive councillors from entering the state assembly building,invade the Perak state assembly to forcibly carry the legally appointed Speaker out of the state assembly & illegally confining him in a room, and now detaining lawyers offering legal services to detained peaceful protesters - they look like perfect running dogs of BN.
