Sure wish this show was more popular. Too bad the fansubbers stopped for 2 months after episode 6 because episode 7 is damn near impossible to translate unless you have a native Japanese speaker on your staff who understands military language and historical context. Unfortunately during those 2 months, the show finished its run, everyone forgot about it and now everyone's into High School of the Dead and other summer shows.

PHT and KAW fansubs, though, are still working on it. Check them out.

Thanks for putting this up! Senkou no Night Raid is definitely not for the faint of heart. But then, i like fandoms you've gotta do a bit of research about just to understand. It makes them that much more enjoyable.

It's funny that this show can out when it did. I just finished a Term Paper on Manchuria and Shanghai, and the Japanese occupation of the cities prior to the Manchurian Incident. It's pretty cool to see some of the history I study daily in an anime, even if it all isn't accurate.

I don't get the description of Natsume's ability in wikip though. Can anyone explain it more? Plus Aoi doesn't seem to be only able to manipulate things as he can even create a force-barrier around him, I think?

@jerickdilla If Im not mistaken, Natsume's ability is similar to that of bakugan (if you watch naruto then you would understand more) except that his eyes can only concentrate in one direction which is his weakness.

As for Aoi, his ability is to move things instantaneously but only for a moment within his time limit

This is the type of anime where Wikipedia comes in handy as there are tons of obscure historical things discussed that Westerners wont have nearly any knowlage about.

Looking up info on stuff they are talking about makes the show 3 times more enjoyible becuase you wont spend 1/2 your time trying to connect the dots.

@defactowood Well if you're interested in history, action and supernatural powers at the same time then this anime is your thing. It wouldn't actually matter if you're asian or not.

I really like the op. Not too sure what to think of the anime yet though. I really liked the action in episode 3, hope it keeps it up for the rest of the season.
