@siscotree dude every vermeer product it a toy. their chippers aint worth a shit and the stumpers? what a joke. wanna good chipper? get a bandit DISC chipper drums blow. and a good tow behind stumper? Rayco 140dhx a good portable stumper? you just saw the vid my friend. the only thing vermeer will getcha is pissed off
@theguyfromavonlake We have added green teeth to my 252 and its alot better. Yes I agree there are better machines out there but my theory is stay out of debt.. I cant see putting 25,000 in a new stump grinder. Especially since there are a load of lowball unlicensed uninsured assholes in my area which makes getting jobs harder. You all got these types where your at.
@siscotree yeah we got alot of backyard boneheads that show up with a ladder and a chainsaw that underbid the shit out of everyones work where you guys at? were in ohio up near cleveland it gets harder and harder every year
@theguyfromavonla -on the Nc Va border. We have no less than 12 guys like you just described. Most do not have much of a clue how to cut or climb or really even how to throw a tree. A couple of them can climb but they are on the crack rock. I lost a 80 ft oak 36 inch around all over top a house. Cracky cut it and gave away the wood and got up brush for 300 bucks.. Im all about competition but damn.
@theguyfromavonlake If I can get it down and save money with a crane well do it but usually not. $500 to rent the small crane for 4 hrs. The 4 hrs starts when they leave the shop so hopefully the job is close by. Do you do much crane work?
@siscotree Yeah we own a 23 ton national with a 110 ft a stick were hardly ever without it but its already 9 years old its really wobbly its makes me nervous when im under it in the bucket and were pickin a big top or a big piece of trunk I'd rather be standin on spikes
I've worked alot with the big carltons and if you hit the drive speed button by mistake they can lurch forward quite rapidly, this operator is way too close, anything could happen a sudden dizzy spell or fainting or tripping over that rut it doesn't bear thinking about.
He should at least stand to the side a little more, standing almost in front is dangerous. All he needs is a tooth or a good chuck to come at him and he stop standing in front. I'll stand beside the cutter wheel with mine, but not in front of it.
how many back yards you gonna get that into

Not the SC852-85hp or SC1152-110hp, and these can still go through a standard 36'' gate!!!

This is about as dangerous for the operator as it gets. I've ground out thousand of stumps and would never stand like this guy is.

Good operator.

Umm.. Fast, but very unsafe. I'd have to disagree with you. Put another way: I would not hire this guy to work for me based on this vid.
