I do realise that global warming is a future problem, I aknowledge that the glaciers are melting, and that the temperature is rising, but here is what I cant agree on:

Our emissions aren't causing this, the rise in temperature isn't by any means "abnormal" the climate changes, its what it does.

Species that have gone extinct lately havn't been due to climate change but due to human actions such as destroying their habitats.
We aren't experiencing any abnormal amount of floods right now, floods happen all the time and even if the climate was to increase with the laughably disproportionate amount the IPCC claims it will, we still have no reason to worry, yet.

No, the experiment im talking about was made by college students ptuunig to of the same plants in airtight containers, on of wich had normal atmosphere the other had + 300% of CO2. The result of the video; you could clearly see that the plant with more CO2 had grown to more than double the size of the other plant.
In the real world things don't work like a pre school experiment. Ocean/ soil acidification caused by carbon dioxide kills plant life.
Likewise you can easily show the warming effect of co2 by doing the experiment you did but without the plant and with two lamps and seeing which temperature is higher. Every time it will be the increased co2 sample with the higher temp. And this is shit we have known for over a century.

Global warming or no global warming I don't see any reason on why we should not cut down on consumption, production and waste. It saves energy and money. There is nothing wrong with becoming just a tad more ascetic.
Likewise even if there isnt global warming it doesn't kill if we recycle a little more. Those who argue vehemently against global warming only portray themselves as selfish persons of the consumerism movement.
@blackapple89er I agree, however I don't think that recycling is a good way to cut down waste, because the net carbon footprint of hauling, treating and recycling anything except for aluminum and other hard to obtain metals is much greater than simply obtaining the raw material. Also, I'd argue that labeling anyone as part of the "consumerism movement" is counterproductive, as we are all consumers, even you. It's this holier-than-thou language that alienates people.

Here's something to think about, if the ice caps are melting, the sea level will no be rising, that doesn't make sense.
The ice caps are huge chunks of ice that when get hot, melt and turn into water.
Last time I checked when water freezes it expands, so when it melts it gets smaller, making more water in the oceans, but less ice, lowering the sea levels.
The planet (the biosphere) doesn't care about us and of course we will adapt to what conditions exist so long as they are at least marginally habitable. But the point is that there will be unnecessary suffering if we don't act to control emissions. If we allow GHG levels to get too high too many will suffer, too many will die. What is the problem with altering the way we live so that needless suffering is avoided?

Global warming is co2 elevation not carbon monoxide produced by cars.
Human made global warming is yet to be proved, pollution is human made and very real.

I do realise that global warming is a future problem, I aknowledge that the glaciers are melting, and that the temperature is rising, but here is what I cant agree on:
We aren't responsible for it, the climate has cooled down very much during the centuries after the stone age, but you wouldn't blame the romans for global cooling would you? Our emissions aren't causing this, the rise in temperature isn't by any means "abnormal" the climate changes, its what it does.

I may not value the enviroment to as zealously as you do, and you may hold the moral highground, but calling me a bastard isn't going to win you the argument. The sealevels haven't risen yet enough so that the difference is notable to the human eye, the climate has changed slightly since the 1990 but wait the climate has steadily been changing as long as there has been an atmosphere on this planet. Co2 just doesn't pack the punch to greatly change the climate, it just doesn't.

Species that have gone extinct lately havn't been due to climate change but due to human actions such as destroying their habitats.
We aren't experiencing any abnormal amount of floods right now, floods happen all the time and even if the climate was to increase with the laughably disproportionate amount the IPCC claims it will, we still have no reason to worry, yet.

The Problem Is that Some Governments (China/USA) believe that other types of renewable sources of energy like wind solar and biofuel will cost too much to establish and will be insufficiant to cope with the increasing high demand for energy. The scary thing is at the moment they are right but at the same time must understand that their only choice is to invest in renewable energies before the oil in the middle east and the Russian arctic runs out some time in the next 20-30 years

The insudrial revolution started in the 17-hundreds, but real human emissions weren't noticable before the 18-hundreds, the problem with thinking that it warmed the climate is that is that is has been getting warmer since the 15-hundreds, after a cold period caused by a lack of sunspots.

No, the experiment im talking about was made by college students ptuunig to of the same plants in airtight containers, on of wich had normal atmosphere the other had + 300% of CO2. The result of the video; you could clearly see that the plant with more CO2 had grown to more than double the size of the other plant.

In the real world things don't work like a pre school experiment. Ocean/ soil acidification caused by carbon dioxide kills plant life.
Likewise you can easily show the warming effect of co2 by doing the experiment you did but without the plant and with two lamps and seeing which temperature is higher. Every time it will be the increased co2 sample with the higher temp. And this is shit we have known for over a century.

Global warming or no global warming I don't see any reason on why we should not cut down on consumption, production and waste. It saves energy and money. There is nothing wrong with becoming just a tad more ascetic.
Likewise even if there isnt global warming it doesn't kill if we recycle a little more. Those who argue vehemently against global warming only portray themselves as selfish persons of the consumerism movement.

@blackapple89er I agree, however I don't think that recycling is a good way to cut down waste, because the net carbon footprint of hauling, treating and recycling anything except for aluminum and other hard to obtain metals is much greater than simply obtaining the raw material. Also, I'd argue that labeling anyone as part of the "consumerism movement" is counterproductive, as we are all consumers, even you. It's this holier-than-thou language that alienates people.

Here's something to think about, if the ice caps are melting, the sea level will no be rising, that doesn't make sense.
The ice caps are huge chunks of ice that when get hot, melt and turn into water.
Last time I checked when water freezes it expands, so when it melts it gets smaller, making more water in the oceans, but less ice, lowering the sea levels.
Let me know why this doesn't make sense please.

The planet (the biosphere) doesn't care about us and of course we will adapt to what conditions exist so long as they are at least marginally habitable. But the point is that there will be unnecessary suffering if we don't act to control emissions. If we allow GHG levels to get too high too many will suffer, too many will die. What is the problem with altering the way we live so that needless suffering is avoided?
