There is loads of land needing redevelopment all over the UK, far better to use this than rip up farm land and countryside.

Facts like the reasonably large industrial estate, waste-to-energy plant, Ford open Prison, even facilities for children to play at ford Flying Fortress. Not to mention the fact that currently the land is used for markets and boot sales.
So the land is already used in part, so surely the positive thing would be to make better use of recourses available.
You seem to be saying that the area is already well used! how am I distorting the facts about that? I agree with you it is already in use and we don't need it crushed under a concrete nightmare that would never be removed.
The Eco town is a distortion of the facts in itself! Its not needed, wanted or viable so it better not happen.
I grew up in Yapton most of my life and my parents still live there. The idea of turning Ford into an Eco-town is ridiculous!! How on earth you call building roads and houses on green fields is Eco is beyond me!! Really! If they want to do an Eco-town, shouldn't they target an existing town like, Arundel, Littlehampton or Bognor, with the relevant infrastructure to make it more Eco!!?? Converting a village into a town isn't the answer!!
Thanks Mike, it's really heart warming to be able to see all the support. Seeing everyone walking through the beautiful fields brought a tear to my eye. I just wish we weren't being treated as though we're all really stupid. It's obvious they don't give a damn, don't listen to reason or see fact, it's more than likely about lining certain peoples pockets! After all they'll be the only ones who'll benefit.

Did you see how flooded the fields were the other week? wonder where all that water is going when they build on it Probably into existing houses so think on community after all they are flood plains for floods, take them away and it has got to go somewhere

i cant see chavs moving into an eco town, so i think were good on that front....
the presence of smug, eco-friendly people might force the existing chavs to move out.
But then we have a situation or our hands, do we want LOTS of smug eco-friendly annoying people, or the current population of chavs.
