No way should he have been with Maria! I know that everyone has their favourite between Carla and Maria, personally I'm a Carla fan but that's not why he should have been with her. He loved her in a way he could never love Maria. Also, did you catch the comments both Liam and Carla made (separately) on the stag/hen night - "I haven't had a cigarette in 13 years and that was shared". That was the moment we were all supposed to realise that they've ALWAYS loved each other.
