Thank you so very much for this, I'm using the info for my homework. I was undecided on how to proceed so I'm going for the bend deformer. This is because I usually get a lot of illegal geometry/nGons when converting from NURBS. 5/5!

Some interesting points on these methods are helpfull. One other way i have done many tubes and pipes is with the wedge faces tool. It to is very helpfull.for adding a wanted angle at just the degree you need it.
