@3160jimmys how can't it be rapping when the words are strung with the tounge, it lingers, rapping is bunch of noise that you can't understand what the fuck their saying because it just runs together
I'm 21 years old and this song reminds me of a video i use to watch of kids in bakery. I loved this song. And i recently stated going to a country bar and heard this song and just took me back. Hadn't heard it since i use to watch that video lol i love it!!
So freakin' catchy! Also it's amazing how quickly fashion tastes change. This is from very early in the decade of the 80s, which were basically still the 70s in terms of clothes and hair. Hard to believe that within 3 years of this song everything was spiked hair and new wave.
What's awesome is that my dad has got that exact guitar in his music room that Eddie is playing on in this video. Love it, heh just wanted you to know
@MrPaul263 That's great to hear!! I always thought it would be A LOT of fun to see the country that way..however I prefer the back roads.. Keep on trucking!!
I am not a country and western fan. This one was special though and is in my opinion: THE GREATEST COUNTRY SINGER ALWAYS AND NO ONE IN GRANDE PRAIRIE ALBERTA OR GRANDE PRAIRIE TEXAS WILL EVER FORGET HIM. HE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A INSPIRATION TO EVERYONE..
@bougatza I, too, am not a country western fan at all..I grew up on Eddie Rabbit though as my local pop music radio station played him a lot..so I didn't even see him as a country music artist back then..he is kind of a more pop/country in my mind..
when eddie made this song i was traveling all over from tampa to orlando to miami and other parts. this song kept me company many times. i miss eddie and wonder what more he would of wrote if he lived.
check out slick at 1:28. that's why i use digitech sound effects. the gsp 21 legend with the foot controller. when i work a stage, it's all foot controlled. you'll never see me pull that move on stage like slick.
i used to always sing this song from the time i was 1, til i was about 4 or 5... and then it kinda faded out... and now im 15 and hearing this song again bring back SOOOOOOOO many memories... thnx eddie!!
My dad was a country music singer, and he passed in 1991 from a brain aneurysm. Eddie Rabbitt was always one of his favorites. I remember being about 5 years old the first time I heard my dad sing several of Eddie's songs. I miss you, Dad, and I love you! I have no doubt that you're jamming in Heaven with Eddie.
hey evbody...i'm new to posting here (i've just been "lurking & listening" for a long time)...i think this great song was heavily influenced by two other previous great songs
*Gotta See Jane (r. dean taylor...who is not so well known...but a great writer/performer--also check out Indiana Wants me and Candy Apple Red if u like this guy's sound...)
*Subterranean Homesick Blues (bob dylan)..."Get Sick Get Well Hang Around the InkWell...You don't need a weatherman to tell which way the wind blows"
i loved this song when it came out.And then when i became a trucker i would listen to it when driving over the road.I drive local now 53 ft reefer heavy load all drop and hook, just driving.I love my job and everyday i look foward to going to work.R.I.P.Eddie THANK YOU LORD JESUS
thats awsome man, im 25 yrs old, and fixing to drive for swift, i heard its a shitty company but crengland wants me to wait around on them, im looking forward to going to trucking school.

Catchy is the right word to use with this tune; You feel like you're on the road with Mr. Rabbitt. He did a great job with this one.
