Unfortunately, moves like this by Penn Jersey were par for the course during the entire bout. Luckily, reps from PRG were on hand and witnessed the whole thing. Absolutely disgusting playing on the part of these ladies. As LI's announcer, I was appalled.

Additionally, this block IS illegal because you cannot hit when both feet are not on the ground.

People like this ruin our sport and keep it from ever becoming a legitimate one. Kind of a weak, pathetic, and highly illegal way to block. I would have pulled this moron out of the game and told her that if she keeps using illegal procedures she will no longer be allowed to skate in the league. If that didn't work, my team would take it as a personal vendetta and would absolutely crucify this cheater given every opportunity. In hockey this is equivalent to tripping/low sticking. Shame on her.

but the bigger question is, is it leagl. It would be if she kept one foot on the rink- it would be like a sit block. But, really that is a nice shinny rink!
