  • great, and wonderful, and perfect!

  • "Perfection is a myth. You might as well be looking for unicorns"

    Please tell that to Obama. He is thinking of and looking for a perfect union.

    A cut diamond can be perfect, depending on the cutter and the tool he uses!

  • You can find tinks to make you suffer.

    See how happy people in africa are while they got noting.

  • jea740- It really weirds me out that you said that. I am not sure the people in Africa are so happy. Do just a search on "Africa" on youtube and tell me what is in the top ten. Do they look happy (that is if the video is about Africa and not about someones music video or Toto)?

    It is only the people who have something that say that people can be happy with nothing. It is like saying people would be happy barefoot, while you always walk around with new shoes on.

  • Sure, people have walked around barefoot forever, and many people still do, but I think if you asked- the majority of them- would say they would like some shoes. It is only the people who already have shoes who consider it "romantic" to walk around barefoot.

  • @Carex09 - what a great insight :))

  • well as long there is peae you dont need much to be happy as long you got food and a house.

    Who gives the scale on happy or beuty {i mean pretty} same we tink having big houses makes us happy.

    I being to cabo verde lot of poor people there but they all smile instead of people here in holland they are so stressed by everything here

  • @Carex09 -:)))

  • All beings by nature are Buddha, as ice by nature is water; apart from water there is no ice, apart from beings no Buddha. How sad that people ignore the near and search for truth afar, like someone in the midst of water crying out in thirst, like a child of a wealthy home wandering among the poor. (...) SONG OF ZAZEN by Hakuin Zenji
  • @tomzachmeier I can tell you for sure that if you have thirst but have only ice....we are entirely dependent upon our own heat or it will be useless. Better to get it into the state we need it - maybe that's what and clerics of other religions are for. Tom, you are a good direction and editor.

  • Looking again and again at the mind which cannot be looked at,

    The meaning which cannot be seen is vividly seen, just as it is.

    Thus cutting doubts about how it is or is not,

    May the unconfused genuine self-nature he known by self-nature itself.

    Looking at objects, the mind devoid of objects is seen;

    Looking at mind, its empty nature devoid of mind is seen;

    Looking at both of these, dualistic clinging is self-liberated.

    May the nature of mind, the clear light nature of what is, be realised.
