During that timehe wasn't running apple, he was with pixar. When apple got Jobs back, those colorful computers came out.

He is the reason for apple's success as well as apple cultists... Extremely loyal. (this includes graphics, music and publishing industries)

Mac although they don't advertise this; has the ability to run windows. Why? Because when apple kicked steve jobs out, they were on the verge of going under (this took a while like maybe a couple of years after throwing out steve). gates helped apple on the conditions that Macs will be able to run windows.. Before Mac couldn't run windows- Because the hardware itself wouldn't be able to. Now it can- funny though, it is illegal to have a PC that runs Mac software.

Guys just so you know there isn't really a Mac or PC difference. The only thing that may be different is that macs are less likely to get viruses or being hacked as well as that they are a more stable machine.

For those saying Mac is lame, do some research. Especially those saying that mac uses PC parts. Apple computers were created in 1976- 5 years before IBM came out with a computer.

Actually, what constitutes money worth is different for each person. Also, Mac vs. PC is literally just a thing of preference. Macs [in general] do run pretty good compared to Windows and such, and I think they tend to look a lot nicer. However, I'm not a fan of the proprietary nonsense and huge prices (not just for purchase but just about anything Mac). That kind of thing is worth less to me, but some people prefer it that way (which is fine, too).

@sgtsysop Dude OS X was not either so great at one point but Windows 7 has proven to be a huge success for Microsoft. Besides there are nearly unlimited* hardware options for PCs and unless you get a Mac Pro the only way YOU can upgrade your hardware is to,,,, buy another Mac... which well cost you...well over a grand. Or with a PC you could you know, just buy a new video card.

Not neccesarily depending on what games they are macs will run them more efficiently.

Yes I am on a PC because I am too a gamer but i would prefer to be on a mac as they use the RAM/System better and will run games faster than a PC but can't have as many games as there are no mac versions for them if there was mac versions of these games then im pretty sure that macs would be alot better for gaming.

@superspy1401 depends on the game but for the most part 3D video games a very graphic intensive something that macs lack sorely in terms of hardware. No amount of efficiency in the OS can make up for that. But apple isn't trying to compete in that market so why would they put that kind of money into their products. Oh right, I forgot, you pay double for a mac that you would for an identical pc. But at least you have a shiny case right?

well that's an assumption first of all and not a great way to argue. I personally think the mac OS is superior to windows and the hardware in most macs is superior to that of most pcs. However the mac OS just doesn't run the software I need it to and the hardware doesn't run to the specs I want either. Honestly I think that macs are great general use computers for people who are new to computers or don't want any hassle. But I like options therefore I own a pc.

Most people use PCs and are not Familiar with the technology of Macs and therefore automatically assume that what they are used to is better.

I kind of see what your saying though about the learning curve of the OS and how most people are used to pcs. but I would argue that macs a better starting computer because they are harder to mess up and that pcs because of all the hadware and software variations and maintenance should be for more advanced users.
