Apparently Shepard's trying to get the different council species to join in on a collective effort against the attack on Earth and the whole invasion in general. Personally I feel that because of making the decision to let the council die this will make it difficult or damn near impossible to get them to join your cause.

It's a similar story with Ashley, she starts off distrustful of aliens and the council but you can actually convince her to like or at least trust aliens.

Clearly she and Kaidan are complete opposites even as far as character development and opinon changes go, for Ashley the change is for the better, for Kaidan it's way worse.

Actually that character development with Ashley was the main reason I chose her to live on Virmire and subsequently romanced her and stayed faithful in ME3.

Renegade is the action/dialogue option Shepard can perform that's exactly how it sounds. Usually meaning being a racist jerk. The opposite is a Paragon option (being nice, etc).

I'm assuming control, uuh, no, I meant I assume Bioware had no other choice than letting Wrex say this. Always both options are expressed by you henchmen, killing or helping the council. If Kaidan gets hitlerized and you other henchman is Wrex - he HAS to say it because of the game mechanics, not because it fits the character very well (which it doesn not, in case of our beloved monster gecko).

I still laugh at all these people who spent absolutly ages making a *Perfect* Shephard in ME1, only to realise that not a single ability, level up or additional unlocked ability from using a power 150 bloody times, or stat affectors carried over into ME2 other than the level slightly affecting your new start level, so many people must have been gutted to discover that.
