  • Nice, what guitar do you use?

  • nice dude

  • Great Job, dude!

  • awesome job! could you post a tutorial? i just can't get the taps down.

  • i can never get my "knocks" or when I hit the guitar to sounds as good as this or anyone else...

    This makes me jealous

  • This was not an attempt, this was the real deal, congrats on mastering such a kick ass song. Keep it up, you might just become the next real guitar hero we see on tv.

  • attempting? lol! that's not an attempt! it's a real good version!

  • nice job mate :) where did you learn to play this??

  • hey awesome cover! i really like ur version of the knocking part =)

  • the tuning is DADGAD right?? : )

  • yeah

  • the afination is diferent of the original song, may be the first and 6th string, in the justin kings video

  • hey dude good playing!!!!!! could u make a how to play video?

  • your really good man. keep up the good work!!

  • thanks man

  • @Persicutor You're really good! What brand/model is the guitar you're using? Thanks and more power!

  • @angstymerman thanks man, its a Norman B50

  • Hey, if you guys like this check out Taylor Deehan and his cover of knock on wood. It's one of the best I've seen yet.

  • checked it out and im honestly not impressed. Its all over the place, and the intro is wrong.

  • @Persicutor Yeah, still a trillion times better than i will ever be able to do, but the intro was deffinately waaay off.

  • I only just heard the original so I can't speak about the accuracy of the cover but very well done regardless.

  • where's the cord?

  • Have you ever thought of doing a tutorial please and also if not how can I learn this

  • how do u learn this song? Can I play it with classical guitar? How long does it take u to finish?

  • Well done, but still prefer The King.

  • i would hope so... he created the song, and has been playing for like 15 years

  • Very nice man,

    Norman guitars at is best.

Im from quebec and we're the creator of this fabolous sounding instrument hehe !

    Peace

  • nice. No one is justin king But you are certianly some other kind of king.

  • dude thats pretty sick man lol

  • what equipment did you use to record?

  • norman guitar. fender acoustic amp.

  • well cool!!!

  • Are there any good websites to find out how to play tap guitar?

  • Just learn the theory so you actually know what you're doing on the neck and try different things out yourself. That's the way all these big guys do it. Just play dude.

  • they have things for electric but thats totally different from acoustic. You have to really practice bringing notes out compared to electric.

Play around with alternate tunings and have fun....thats what all of them do.....experiment

  • absolutely incredible

  • awesome!

how long have you been playing?

and how long did it take you to learn it?

  • at the time of this video id been playing for 6 years or so....this song took me about a day to learn and record

  • awesome!

how long have you been playing?

and how long did it take you to learn it?

  • what kind of guitar is used in teh video?

  • Norman

  • Its a Norman B50. Maple plywood back and side, solid spruce top, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is made in Quebec.

  • is it attached to an amp?

  • ya, or a microphone is picking it up 2 enhance the sound, the hammer-ons and pull-offs without a strum are extremely hard to make a clear loud sound, judge by the loudness of them in the video, he either used an amp, messed with the videos sound or has some insane left hand skills

  • yea its plugged into a fender acoustic amp but i can still play it pretty loud without the amp

  • I love that playing man , you're amazing man

  • WHAT!!! Thats not really him!!! come there is no WAY!!

  • fuckin awsome man.keep it up *****

  • solid

  • not so bad

  • u should def take up bass

  • nice

  • is your amp hooked up or is it just your action on your guitar. yamaha right?

  • its a Norman guitar hooked up to a fender acoustic amp

  • wonderful stuff keep posting. God bless michael hedges! :-))

  • where did you get the tabs/learn how to play this song? i've been watching that video for two years now and can't figure it out... GREAT GUITAR WORK BY THE WAY

  • the rest was great but you need to work on the main riff

  • I am sorry, but Andy mckee is the best, but you were great thoug

  • I really suck at tapping o n acoustic. How did you get so great?

  • guitarfreak971 preston reed owns every body in this styl not andy mckee

  • All of the guitarists in that style play different substyles... this is way different than andys music.

    I love andy

    I love antoine dufour

    I love preston reed

    I love justin king

    I love don ross

all same style but different substyles

  • agreed with RileyBrady. people need to understand that.

  • @RileyBrady Try out Trace Bundy and Keith Cooper

  • yea, great way to compare a professional guitar player to someone who was only 16 at the time.

  • It's good but no where near as good as Justin King.

  • That was was fairly good man...

  • yeah dude, your verion is wwaayy better than Justin Kings, I cant even keep up with his its to chaotic and random. this makes sense and just sounds good. keep at it ;)

  • better than justin king :P

  • Amazing... great... Fucking rightus

  • Timing was a little off but that was a fucking good effort mate! You'll have it smooth as a badgers testicles rubbing against some lino in no time!

  • no im not...just cuz im looking at the fretboard doesnt mean im struggling with the song. And even if I dont make faces when i play doesnt mean im not enjoying playing it.

  • great job. I actually like this better than the original. dont get a big head, man. hahaha

  • extremely amazing, u took the speech out of me, very very well done m8.

  • Brilliant. Reminds me of Michael Hedges.

  • I could do that whit my eyes closerd... But well done!

  • Are you qouting napoleon dynamite or are just an attention whore?

  • that was so good.

  • friggin AWESOME THAT WAS WICKED SWEET

  • wow, it sounds pretty nice... very similiar to the 'real' knock on wood

    5 stars

  • incredible! i love it.

  • right on man that was really well done

  • That was veryy well done

  • well done. this must have taken a long time to learn and perfect

  • wow thats awesome

  • wow you rock!

  • how to u tap..i never understood how it works? lol

  • very neat

  • You got talent. Good job.

  • Nice again Persecutor. Your tapping is so fluid and effortless. What tuning is this song in?

  • people this is fake. How the fuck is he making that guitar sound that great with no mic or amp. I play guitar, nothing like this. But no amp or mic. If this is real then, ok, but it seems fake as hell to me.

  • haha its not fake. Look closely at the far left side of the guitar, in the middle there is a chord plugged in which leads to an amp.

  • wow

  • no effects on the guitar

  • have you ever heard of a guy called jon gomm? he plays very similair music to that, you should really check him out, hes amazing.

  • one of the best covers i have ever seen

  • sounds like a few pedals shuved in there, well atleast effects

  • nope thats all the acoustic I think the E may be dropped down to a D for the chording very clever playing

  • sounds like justin himself...

  • haha bit of a workout for the hand eh

  • its not that bad

  • NOOBS! all of you.. even though im amazed by that. how he hits the hermonics.

  • thats a cool sounding acoustic.

  • very cool dude

    rock on

  • Awesome Very Job Dude!!

  • amazing

  • VERY VERY CLEAN

  • damn! you're awesome.

  • what kind of guitar is that? it's got such a nice sound coming out of it. love it

  • Actually never heard of justin king but i must say it sounds pretty sweet, nice work!

  • Wow, never thought anyone else but king himself could ever play this song haha. Very well done

  • you are by far pulled this off the best on youtube

  • dude ur insane ..... its so hard to hammer all the notes ... plus on acostic no way man !!!!!

  • amazing... the right hand slapping needs work tho.. but other than that.. its great =)

  • DUDE!!! That is awesome :P

  • pretty good, need to work on the slap harmonics though to get them to ring out clearly

  • this guitar is amazing and you are amazing too

  • you NAILED IT

    in my opinion

    c_c

  • its choppy... but then your not justin king... so its great... good stuff... work on the right hand drum on the body part... could you send me the tab cause the ones i found are wrong

  • First, I have to congratulate you to this work. Your tune is so good, it's sounds very well.

In which tuning you play this? This would help me learning this song. (And I want to learn it!)

But if you have any tab for it, would you please send me it? (suimizu@gmx.de) Yes, I'm german ;)

    Thanks, Sui

  • freaking amazing man.. how are you able to play with ur left hand as u did in the intro.. that's pretty tight bro..

  • i really need a tab for this song, anyone got one

  • thats amazingf man,

i can find the introc but did you tab the rest out by yourself? please gewt back to me- this tab would improve vmy playing 10 fold

  • brilliant player...though the song was played wrong; u missed out parts and played bits at the wrong time...though u are an excellent player and deserve a round of applause m8

watch out for my video of knock on wood wihch will hopefuli be in july, where i perform it; it will be a hybrid of the 3 videos I have posted on YouTube and of the album version. Justin King rules.

  • your guitar had a fantastic sound to it, very resonant. Also your playing is.. amazing, kudos to you!

  • thats awsome dude, it sounds just like it, well with a little twist....but a good twist

  • Nice :] keep it up needs abit more work tho :]
