  • It's a crying shame you have to pay a premium for nice quality hand wired circuitry these days...It use to be the standard...Those were the days when the common man could have quality. Now you have to be a "collector".

  • Rebecca Derps

  • I believe everyone was waiting such a move from Marshall. After Class 5 it was expected.... Nice sounds afterall.

  • ridiculous, 700 for a 1 watt amp. I'd rather put that money towards a useful tube amp

  • @seifs4 Thats their aim friend...i saw this Mini head thing coming a year or 2 ago...The first one i saw was Vox, the it was Orange, Now Fender and Marshall have jumped on the train...In Fenders defense their little amp can be used as a tube stereo for MP3's which is kind of neat...

  • that girl is GORGEUS!!!!! I want HER doing all the reviews!!!!

  • That JMP 1 just drips with 70s Marshall Awesomeness...

  • @bubbleheadft completely agree!

  • those amps are going to be sweet

  • please pan the intro, it's a little annoying having the sound in the left ear

  • i didn't see the little jubille an' little jcm 900?

  • I bet you like little heads ;)

  • Rebecca dicks?

  • @A7XSynysterJenno Yeah well that's just her porn name

  • Had to laugh...at 2:10, she's holding the microphone to his face while he's playing...like the sound is going to come out of his mouth...LOL!

  • Where is the Jubilee/Custom Tube Series that preceded the JCM 900?

  • They're actually less expensive than I expected... the JTM1 head is actually 565€ (~$750) here in France.. For a UK-made handwired amp that price isn't exagerrated at all.

  • Sweet little amps. There is something weird about a left handed guitar. Everything seems backwards, and I know that is supposed to be, but I can't imagine playing like that. Happy 50th anniversary ti Marshall!

  • jmp1 with boost switch engaged is a dream - a sexy dream starring rebbeca dirks :))

  • Sounds amazing!

  • Crazy price for 1 watt amp

  • I just pulled this up on Musicians Friend, these are going to STREET PRICE AT $799.. anyone besides myself think that's a little out of line?

  • @tatsandteles "a little out of line"? i call this a fraud! ;-)

  • @KEPHALLE I guess I have to agree, although it IS a UK made amp and the import costs run the price up. I wish they would have at least given it a sort of 'power scaling' option. I love the sound of cranked Marshalls, but you can't play them to saturation without killing people. These sound 'right' at cranked level, but exactly what are these being marketed for? Bedroom practicing? Studio miking? I wish they would design a 6V6 based amp you could rip on at gig level.

  • @tatsandteles i know it is a uk made, but i don't think it is worth the price anyhow. just my opinion of course!

  • @KEPHALLE Well, I suppose if they used Chinese slave labor they could have gotten down to around $300. No offense either, just saying.

  • @tatsandteles none taken! still i wanted to suggest you a simple comparison between two combos, both uk made: take the jtm1 (£559) and the cornford harlequin (£749). compare features, prices and construction. you'll see the difference is way larger than those 190£, in favor of the cornford imho.

  • @KEPHALLE Cornford is a great product. I would concur on that for sure.

  • @tatsandteles hey, i have a beagle too. she use to sleep exactly like yours hehe! beagles are fun and slightly mad dogs :-D

  • @KEPHALLE Yeah, slightly mad?? I tell everyone that she's a 'therapy dog'... the longer I own her, the more therapy I need!!! Love her though, great disposition and a great hunter.

  • Fuck I want that JCM in combo form! What a fucking cool little amp!

  • Didn't like the sound of the JMP...high-end was too harsh. But hey, that's just me.

  • @slowmonkey156 JMP's ARE harsh. That's how they're voiced.

  • the sound!!!!!!!!

  • *REBECCA DICKS*

  • no need for the dsl since i've got the real thing but mannnnn, the jtm, 800, and the jvm would be niiiice to have.

  • marshall demo guys, showing pentatonic skills rival to slash's

  • how many watts?

  • Ha ha, the poor old 900 didn't get a look in...

  • let me get a little head

  • After seeing the prices, I hope they're including a rape kit. Ridiculous.

  • Comment removed

  • I used to be excited about those amps, but then I took...a look at the prices and went "WTF????? MARSHALL - YOU ARE COMPLETELY NUTS!!!"

  • Any marshall with Gibson. I know, that any marshall is not good choice for overdrive or distortion. If You say "Slayer playing on a marshall!" - and I say to "Slayer still sounding like a shit"

  • @PVDHP What the hell are you talking about? Metallica, Megadeath, Oasis, Rage Against the Machine all use Marshalls. Marhsall invented the rock amp. I say "You still talking shit"

  • @1boola1

Well, actually, the original JTM was a clone of the Fender Bassman with swapped tubes, so technically, Fender invented the rock amp, and Marshall copied it.

  • @Kangaxxter Well, actually the original Bassmans were copies of RCA amps. I don't remember The Who, Led Zep or Hendrix on stage with an RCA or Fender stack though...

  • the jmp with the boost switch sounded awesome. and the jtm sounded great too. the jcm was cool too buit a tad too much gain for me.

  • I think it's a pretty sweet idea. It's like a sample of the real amp. If they go easy on the price, they might sell a ton of this things. But if the price is around 500 dollars like a I read in the coments, then orange, soldano and blackstar will keep beating marshall's ass with their lower wattage amps.

  • I love the jtm1 sound...

    But ....£479.99.....???????

Fenders price point is much more astute to this market.(mass production run or no!!)

    £127 - £250...

    Great amp.....Too GREEDY!!!!...

  • @MrPaolo101 YOU GET THE FUCKING PICTURE! Finally, someone who understands how I feel...

  • Ok, i'm into low wattage breakup, but I'm so sick of these stupid 1 watt amps. Those wouldn't even disturb a migraine headache

  • @pabdiary I say it's a smart move for Marshall or rather Korg. These little amps offer most of the features of the 50 and 100 watt heads for the guys who like to record with tube amps on their desktops. So there is money to be made there, and I do record and thought the jtm sounded pretty close to the one I use to have.

  • Why no JCM900?

  • What type of cabs could you hook these up with?

  • I`ll take the whisky..

  • Celebrating 50 years of loud by making 1 watt amps? Am I the only one that finds that ironic?

  • @robstl314 touche! lol

  • @robstl314 It's because we are all 50 year olds buying them!

  • @robstl314 good point!

  • @robstl314 1 watt is still pretty loud. connect the head to a 4x12 and whack a couple of pedals in front and it could reach gigging volume.

  • And what's the deal with making JVM1 combos but putting puny 8" speakers in them?

  • 'Wish theyd make a 1 watt AFD.

  • Met him a couple of weeks ago where he did a Clinic with Doug Aldrich through Marshall!

Really cool guy and a beast of a guitar player!!

  • ive been trying to get a lil head for awhile now...wife keeps saying no :0(

  • that JMP is the best little amp i ever heard! wow! gotta get one of those!

  • Somebody knows how much is the jcm 800?

  • I'm sure that whisky got the taste of pure rock'n'roll.

  • which one was he playing?

  • Holt Shitte those are cool. I need one watt of power that sounds like 100 watter at Royal Albert Hall.

  • ok they sound great but 700-800 dollars or more? come on marshall!

  • JMP1 sounds fantastic!

  • I was waiting for her to ask if they went to 11

  • haha you dont see many left handed les paul players. props.

  • dear Rebecca when the guy is playing, is not talking...what a f**** you take the mic in front of the mouth???

  • leetle JCM 800 rockin hard.

  • Marshall; please just bring back the Jubilee!

  • FUCKKK JMP1 OR JCM1? DECISIONS DECISIONS

  • I would love to own the Bluesbreaker package

  • NOT CHRIS GEORGE AGAIN!!!!!!!!

  • This is fucking rad. Sooo want one.

  • Comment removed

  • DUDE YES I WANNA 1 WATT JVM!!!

  • Comment removed

  • fuck yeah, love the bluesbreaker!

  • less knobs is better.

  • I want them all!!! haha

  • they look good but they're way too expensive! you'd be better off getting a class5. Plus you can get those tones out of a good pedal and a clean amp these days. Just my opinion..

  • that JMP sounds killer with the boost engaged!

  • I think its a fantastic idea if they can make a reproduction of the older heads with a lower wattage for bedrrom stuff.

  • As an owner of the Haze would have been nice to know these were in production

  • @DMSProduktions wanker

  • @permian11 Fuck off idiot! I'm a wanker for telling the truth?

    YOU are delusional!

  • @DMSProduktions WANKER WANKER WANKER BLOODY HELL HARRY POTTER WANKER

  • @permian11 Youre fucked in the head mate!

  • @DMSProduktions and you have no sense of humor.

  • @permian11 Oh I do, just doesnt coincide with yours.

    Point taken however...

  • Did that dirty old man just check out Rebecca @ 6:40?

  • @Ncuab: Hahaha... Maybe he is just a healthy old man...

  • @Ncuab "I swear, I swear! I was just looking at the amps!"

  • @Ncuab yup as he should

  • @Ncuab well as a man let me hope i still find nice looking women nice! when i get old or would u rather i become gay or asexual

  • @Ncuab jealous?

  • @Ncuab I don't know but I sure did!

  • @Ncuab i did

  • @Ncuab If you aren't checking out Rebecca, there's something wrong with you.

  • Did she just say she wants to give a little-head?????

  • "Marshall" Les Paul, Bluesbreaker VOS and a Marshall 50 y.o. Whiskey. Now that is the Shit!

  • too bad all the cool stuff is only available in limited editions... The Bluesbreaker is a classic. If you finally got that one right it sure deserves to be available permanently.

  • @DMSProduktions as far as I'm concerned, if it gets the point across it doesn't matter how many people say it or who said it first.

  • *output.

  • I wanna hear Rebecca play something! :D

  • @DMSProduktions - Clearly you don't understand irony.

  • @mojojasons I do, but it doesnt always translate. SHOW me the irony!!!!

  • @DMSProduktions - You mean the part where you scold someone for using "alternate" pronunciations and tell him that YOU Americans didn't invent English ...And THEN tell him to get over his self sense of superiority..Yep..No irony in that at all.Get over yourself, dude. Tell me..WHO invented ENGLISH?? YOU?

  • @mojojasons Yep!

  • @DMSProduktions - Oh..Well..Carry on, then.

  • @mojojasons Thank you kind Sir!

  • Left handed guitarist? Just seems wrong. IMO.

  • @regularkevin 2 words... Jimi Hendrix

  • @RedPanaccione Yeah. but he's the exception to the rule. LOL. It's kind of like watching a goofy foot skater/surfer/snowboarder to me: just seems un-natural. I hear what you are saying. It was just my first impression when I saw the video.

  • Comment removed

  • @regularkevin @regularkevin I had same opinion in the begining but after i watched some George Videos i got used to it ;)

  • There you go, Marshall! One of the better ideas you've had in several years!

These amps look great... but is it sad the thing I'm coveting most is the 50-yr-old whiskey?? :/ lol If that's a Scotch, I guarantee you it's worth more than the amps!

  • For $1100 bucks i would be buying a Blackstar 100 watt head in a heartbeat over these little gimmick amps. Don't really care that they sound ok, for that kind of bread buy and use something useful instead. Besides, BLACKSTAR eats marshall's for breakfast !!! LOL

  • @richfiryn and orange eats blackstar for breakfast. it's all about opinion man. i love the clean channel on blackstars and the gains cool i just wish the lower wattage ones had more gain

  • @TheCollisionofworlds no way man, blackstar ftw

  • @klblackstar its still an opinion but i see youre a blackstar fanboy. honestly i thought they were the best shit since sliced bread for a while and almost bought one but to me they just dont cut it and they don't get the sound i want. they don't react like a tube amp enough for me. on an orange even with fuckloads of gain you can still back down the volume and clean it up a little where as the only blackstars ive been able to do that on are the series ones

  • @TheCollisionofworlds yeah true, its a matter of personal preference, im not much of an orange fan except for the rockerverb series. yes, i love blackstar, but mesa boogie or peavey would be my favourite brand, like i've loved every blackstar ive tried but at the end of the day i'd still rather buy a 5150 or 6505 than a series one.

  • she said "little head"

    ;D

  • damn fucking toys...

  • Ouch... They're 699 English pounds which converts to almost 1100.00 USA. Screw that...

  • @andreastrato true. she's cute.

  • @GearhartGuitar

    ???

Guess what? the language is ENGLISH not American.

  • @ThieleM LOL yeah, but MANY Americans are surprised when they go to England how many people there speak 'American'!

  • Must have JTM...

  • @MarshallStackLP the JTM and JCM 800 would be awesome in stereo! I totally want!

  • @GearhartGuitar Those wacky Brits and their alternative pronunciation? The clue, I think, is in the name of the language "English". English developed in "England" where it borrowed words from many other dialects to become the language it is today. Its the international language of science, business and aviation, it uses the letter "U" a lot more than Americans seem to realise, please not the "S" there and not a"Z"! As for "Z" Sesame Street lies it's not pronounced "ZEE"

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  • Everyone's waiting for something else! After a year of anticipation by gearheads and future buyers & comments from Santiago and Satriani saying that the JVM 410 with the Satriani preferred mods would be out by the end of last year and then at NAMM 2012 and now, STILL not being able to hear and see the retail release, disappointment is high, but it's better to get any and all issues dealt with now as opposed to later.

These little amps sound amazing though! Nice little surprises there.

  • Wow, I was gonna buy a JVM1, but the JMP1 sounds pretty damn good!

  • Comment removed

  • are they doing this because orange is also doing it? orange is amazing though

  • even though the amps got super distorted u could still hear the quality of the not! they sound great

  • @AdamTheGuitarGuy336 meant to say quality of the note

  • Overpriced and "limited"...sorry, but there are way better alternatives, and guess what, they are fucking cheaper...but Marhall whores will eat this shit up, for sure.

  • Such a shame that they have the year wrong, the amp should be called the 49er 1963 not 1962,

Sorry to keep on but i was there.

  • @KenG3SDW 49er 1963? I don't get it. What does that mean?

  • @HearingLossProvider Hi what i said is that Marshall was not formed in 1962 but in 1963. I was one of the first guys along with Ken Bran and Dudley Craven that made the first JTM45 as it is known today, this was before JM was commercially involved. Marshall have got the year wrong and if any one wants proof they only have to ask as i can provide it, but so far my comments only get ignored by Marshall.

  • Comment removed

  • @HearingLossProvider Hi again, yes the very first amp that was sold was bought by Pete Townsend from the Marshall shop in Hanwell West London but that was the only involvement that JM had at the time.

  • @KenG3SDW : Hey guy's. Ken is the real deal. I know him from the forums and he was there in the beginning. He has shared a lot of cool information over the last few years.

  • What a great idea but why didn't they make them with a higher wattage. How about a 15 or 30 watt amp instead. I would gladly shell out a little more if their was more bang for the buck.

  • make a mini TSL!!!

  • why cant they atleast make it like 15 watts? ive got an Blackstar HT-1! you cant gig with one watt!

  • @88segovia No, but I have the 5 watt, and you CAN gig with that!

  • They sound awesome BUT THEY ARE WAY TO OVER PRICED. I rather stck with the blackstar ht-1 instead...sigh...

  • where is everyone seeing the price of these lolol. i feel dumb because i cant find it, and i guarantee its right in front of my face.

  • now if they would lower the price:/

  • 5 watt at the same price and then we could have been in business

  • How much????

  • Great sounding amps!

    Great playing!

  • I have to say, I thought these were going to be 20-watters like a lot of manufacturers have been doing lately. Still sound amazing for 1 watt though. Looking forward to the gear reviews to come.

  • They really could have put the JTM, JMP, and JCM800 into the same head with switch to jump between them. Like a 1 watt Fargen MiniPlex.

  • I guess they're jumping on the micro head bandwagon! Anyway, Rebecca is cute as hell!

  • Was impressed until I saw the price, they are basically the same as the Class 5 (3 tubes just the power tube changed to ECC82 from EL84), but with the original amp voicing... for that voicing and being limited edition you have to pay £300 more than the Class 5 and have a 1w amp. You can buy a 2nd hand 100w JCM800 Head for the same price as the 1w JCM800 Combo.

  • I hope I can get the money before they stop making these (I'm just as broke as a student can get...). SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY MARSHALL!
