Very good. You'll base a counter-argument on a single act by a Christian. Being anti-Muslim has nothing to do with being pro-Christian. But you'll see this more often. You'll see right wing groups rise up and start attacking Muslims and their sympathizers throughout Europe. There will be a war of sorts between Europeans who finally understand that their country is being taken away from them and those who want to make Europe part of the Umma. I'm not complaining, this is the way of history.
we get over these superstitions and we will see more peace, but this will never happen, you will always have people worshipping someone, you will always have death in this case. He know's that radical islam is a problem, but you would dismiss this belief, they wont simply stop believing. To fight radical islam w. europe would need radical ideas. You cant allow immigrants without assimilation plain and simple.
It's not just importing their own societies and social structures into Europe. There is a conscious beliberate plan of conquest and colonization, of which many Muslims are not aware, but which is very much there.
The creations of Muslim enclaves, the deliberate building of Islamic centers (not just in Europe, but in America) is part of the plan.
Comparing Fundamentalist Christianity to that of Islam is naive at best. There is no equivalent for Sharia Law in Christianity, there's no equivalent for Jihad, & there's no honor killings, forced marriages, literal killing of homosexuals (as in Iran), murdering of apostates and converts, slavery (most slavery is still in the hands of Muslims- see Mauritania, for example).
Bawer cannot be a racist since Islam is a religion. He's not Islamaphobic either because his statements are based on fact.
Try reading the Koran sometime or take a closer look at Sharia Law... There are passages in the Hebrew Bible and even if you can underscore them and say, "SEE!" you'd be hard pressed to find a present day popular movement in Judaism that is equivalent to Islamic Fundamentalism or as widespread.
@FrankinHolland :) You should try it, a little stuffing from behind may do you good, maybe you could write the sequel :)
Just kidding and i dont have anything against gays, if i'd fall in love with them i'd prefer them to women, but sorry i don't, i usually fall in the claws of the decietful cats instead.
who cares, part of europe's problem is they are so limp dick and socially liberal they won't say shit to muslims and just stand by and watch themselves adopt shariah law. Good example for the U.S. for what not to do
Oh yeah, that's right... We're adopting sharia law all day long. What bloody nonsense! You guys go rape some more countries around the world with your circumcised hard-ons and see how much democracy and human rights that will create! Idiots.
The UK already has Sharia courts. Maybe if your Magna Carta had a 1st Amendment you would know that but then with your state controlled BBC maybe not.
What's fascinating is that this man is himself a Christian. All people that believe and put blind faith in a religion lack some kind of logic. How is it fair that he, who puts blind faith in the Bible, is able to criticize all Muslims? Both the Bible and the Koran are extreme vestiges of the past that many choose to believe in. What makes one better than the other when they both are ridiculous pieces of fiction? While extremism is scary, it only happens because people have a religion.
Because much of the Islamic faith still practice, promote, and advocate to the west, traditions that are utterly appalling to Western culture such as honor killings, justification of rape for not remaining modestly dressed, stonings, oppression of women, suppression of freedom of speech, forced marriage, polygamy, and pedophilia.
Bawer is like so many of us. Though I am not gay, I am Christian and somewhat conservative, yet I agree with his stance on what Christianity is to him and that it is ok to be gay and Christian. I also agree that democracy is something we have to fight to preserve. These are not easy topics to solve and like him I often feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. I guess fundamentalism is appealing because it is so easy. Reason is more difficult. Thanks Mr. Bawer!
I am reading Bill Bowers bok "Silenced" and I think these ideas should have been said along time ago. Europe is the last continent the United States should strive to be like. Multicultural liberal fascisism tries to stay as far away from the hard linging right wing as possible however it ironic that they are allowing their most depicable ideals to come to fruition. And the Ayatollahs are probably just laughing at them. They should be countries like that are a JOKE!!!

Where do you think Muslims get all this from? The Old Testament.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
The only reason we have all these Islamic Semites is because of the Jews opening up immigration to the third world.
It's not enough to name the symptoms, you must point to cause of the problem - the Jew.

I think Bawer could have explained his ideas more clearly. He sounds quite racist!
PlantPirate 2 years ago
How does he sound racist? Watch 7:28 to 8:10 again. He is obviously not "racist".
satomiwa 2 years ago 2
I don't think he's a racist!!! Just to be clear. I just think he did a poor job of explaining his ideas. He's primarily a writer, not a speaker.
