Dr. Pierre Brassard SRS #3

Dr. Brassard has a horrible reputation! Keep in mind many the hospitals in the Montreal area (where he has his clinic) refuse to give him OR time due to complaints. I`ve heard he has done some decent work with a few mtfs but completely butchered several ftms. I am talking specifically about his trans related surgeries and not any cosmetic surgeries.  When in doubt find someone else!

I had complete SRS in September of 2009 with Dr. Brassard. (My FFS and BA were done by Dr. Zukowski outside of Chicago in December of 2007). Both doctors did fantastic with me. I was told that Dr. Z was pricey, but all plastic surgeons that I've contacted are quite expensive. What we need is for insurance to begin covering some of this. This is not by choice, but rather something we are born with. I only know of 1 girl who was displeased with Dr. B but I think she had unrealistic goals.

i also went to dr brassard for facial surgery with a friend about 7 years ago and we were both extremely happy with the results. in fact we are going back this spring for more. sorry to hear about your displeasure but i know several people that have had remarkable results with him

That's not the feedback I got from quite a few people who had him or met with him. I think he gets worse with age. When a man does such a crappy job for a rhinoplasty, even though you talked to him many times about it, imagine what he can do when more complicated surgeries are involved. Also, that's one thing to have bad results, that's quite another thing to be stuck with them because the doctor in question refuses to do the revision he agreed to just to spite his patient! Can you imagine

the ordeal I'm going through? What about the other

testimonies from other transwomen who had him and whose stories I posted next to the videos? This is not just about bad results. These women could have lost their lives! If you were happy with him, that's very well and I am happy for you, but when you take him and it hits you, it hits you really hard. Unfortunately, there's no way to know if you are gonna be lucky or not.

By contrast, I went to Dr. Brassard two years ago and had an excellent experience with my SRS--no issues with the surgery and the new Recovery House they created next to the hospital is wonderful. I've known many other women who've gone to other surgeons for SRS including Meltzer, Bowers and Suporn who had complications I didn't. I've known 15-20 other transwomen (and some transmen) who've gone to Brassard and mostly had superb results. Sorry you had a bad experience, but it's far from typical.
