How to rape a great song. These idol-kids all think they can sing, just because they don't sing out of key. Stop rewarding kids who happen to have a decent voice. Reward them when they write good, strong music. Most of the starting bands have to play in small rooms for small crowds for years, before they get noticed. With the idols, they just throw a contract at them, without letting them put effort into it. They only have to cover some songs. Big deal.
