It's so sad that Catherine Wheel never hit Mega Status as they were an absolutely amazing band. It just goes to show how poor management and your label dropping the ball can screw up a sure thing. Rob Dickinson has one of the best voices in rock and roll and he is an amazing song writer.
ahhhh yes, The Wheel keeps spinning....Thanks, Rob. Not snubbing solo stuff at all, love it too, but as I didn't see the band, this is closest I can get. Toronto show was "bloody tops", can be found on youtube. Man, this version is so good.
i remember when this first came out they said some radio stations were afraid to play it 'cos they thought it was racist! o__O And Rob had to explain to the dumbasses that hadn't really listened to the lyrics that it was a metaphor (and probably had to explain what a metaphor was, too!)

Absolutely brilliant!! I know a song is great when it sounds just as good played on an acoustic guitar as when it was played on an electric guitar.
