This is why I liked doa4 better. doa3 allowed players to use the same attacks strings to keep people in the air. tekken does the same thing too. Personally, I hate long lasting air combos. I find them to be cheap.

These long combos can only be done with four characters. The combos also have to be done in specific areas. Such as you saw Hayate and Ayane performing their combos down hill, which is the only reason they're able to do them. With the stage going downward they're able to carry you down. Bass' infinite againist the corner can ONLY been done in that corner on that stage. In an actual match it would be a very slim chance to get your opponent backed into it and have them fall into his infinite.

@PurifiedKasumi thanks for clarifying that cus it made me so mad at how broken this was when it has some of the easiest mechanics, it would be unacceptable for a game like this to be so broken

So is rushing, low sweeping, then catch-grabbing when the character regains their stance. Which most DOA4 players do. I've even done it a dozen times or so out of desperation.

DOA4 has mid → low (repeat) spammers, that can enter 3 counters commands in one second. Sorry, but a random counter followed by shenanigans of mid-low and catch grabs is way, way more annoying.

Not only is it cheap to have to fight against someone who does that, it is obnoxious to watch.

I won't even start on the button mash an 13-hit combo by simply pressing Y and only Y.
