NME I finally got to see some of your stuff. You commented on Sean and Mikes Excellent Adventure on my Sharkjelly channel a while back.Still waiting for you to turn up! I really enjoyed the sratching stuff.Obviously a strong inversion but the sky looked pretty clear. Can't believe your vid stopped at the point of landing. Was it ok? What editing software do you use?
@sharkjelly Welcome to my obsession Mike! S&M's EA is a classic! I've lost many landings from the 2:43hr battery duration and then I out-fly the extended battery too! My log book for 4-1-2011 "Fun flight. Launched too late but recovering from bad cold. Good landing and great video and photos.". I probably dropped the bar but didn't whack. I use Cyberlink PowerDirector 9. I have not tried Version 10. Keep in touch! Cheers, Jonathan
Hi NMERider Very nice video, well done. I flew out of Sylmar/Crestline/Lake E. 10 yrs ago and i recognize the landscape, brings good memories. I am just about to buy the gopro before going to the worlds in Italy in July - I can see the quality is good, do you think anything can be done about the fisheye effect ?
Looked like an undershoot or overshoot of the landing would not have been fun terrain. I loved the approach to Keller Peak. It looms as a monster of a mountain. You looked a little pensive towards the end when it looked like you were trying to select an LZ. Had you landed there before. Nice flight, nice editing.
@menamiketrx I landed there once before. Yes, I was pensive and I like the way that camera position and angle picks up my emotions as well as my POV. Better than a helmet cam IMHO. I was trying to bench my way back up but the thermals would not coalesce from bubbles into columns and I was faced w/ the decision to just get down and call for a ride. Owen got stuck in one place for an hour around the same time but he still made a 60-mile (4-hour) RT vs my 15-mile (95-min) )one way.

@Nilbys1Shoot in r5, r3 or r2 mode and there will be less distortion due to the smaller field of view. Glad you enjoyed the memories!

Wow this is one of the best videos yet. The mountain at 5:00 is spectacular! Does it get disorienting when you bank so close to a wall like that?
pdutube 10 months ago
@pdutube Thanks. It doesn't disorient me but it does scare the crap out. :-O

Your editing to the soundtrack is fantastic. It's in the details! I fly a Sport2 155, mostly at Funston but not for six months now.
