It all goes back to "White Men Can't Jump". She doesn't want you to get her a glass of water she wants you to feel her thirst.
Don't solve her problems, listen and empathize with them. Unfortunately most men (including me) aren't made that way. We want to spring into action and "fix" everything.
It's really hard to come up with new, unique ways to describe what love is but this poem does it many times over. Great work.
