I just watched a video of a chicago officer waiving his gun for 10 minutes at an unarmed guy in public on cctv. He then pulls the gun up and shoots the guy in the head with no warning. He lied and said he was attacked by 4-5 guys and then pulled the gun and defended himself despite the cameras. The commissioner, despite the cameras, bought the story and said the shooting was warranted. This is different but there really are 2 types of officers--Protectors and those with god-syndrome

Even headshots are survivable, the bullet is going so fast that it is very malleable to the point that it even tends to travel along the path of least resistance. The bullet can enter the front of the head and deflect to the side and travel through the membrane seperating the bone from the skin and go ALL the way around to exit the other side of the head. Thats one of the reasons cops use hollowpoints because they tend not to do that, but Murphy's law is always in effect.
