@roperswife I never actually wore the red sequined dress. I wore the shiny green skirt and shiny yellow blazer with the orange spiked wig. I'm playing the guitar in the middle of the float and I was with 2 other girls on that section of the float. Ha ha! I did weasel my way into wearing the white wig every so often. I thought it was cool! :)
To those of you who were in the parade, LMK if you remember what happened to me, I was filling in as the Chic band member on the front of the float, my wig came off in the middle of main street. Robert the Parade Captian had to ask me to hand him my wig! It was crazy! Maybe someday someone will post that moment on here!
I researched this video and found that you are correct. At the beginning of the video the mom states that our son is "2 years and 1 month old" and that its July 4th, Independance Day. He was born in May, 1984. So based on that the actual date of the parade is July 4, 1986.
My original date was based on the date written on the tape. That was when the tape was put into use. Thank You So Much!
I completely remember this day vividly because I had never seen the park so packed EVER. On this particular day, I was cast in the chick band on the finale float with Minnie "playing" the guitar. My regular part was to learn all the roles in the parade. Good times. Great memories. One of the best summers ever!!!
mistyluvr were you in the Christmas parade just before this parade? I was an toy pulling elf in that parade? I wonder if I worked with you?
