That tyre is obviously knacked for you to get that much bead on in the first hit with knees! try it with a new michelin and a decent mouse, that'll be a different story!
@MrHuddy94 , the tyre and mousse are well lubricated and if you get the first part of the bead right under tyre lock and into the wheel well, it will go straight on. I have seen many enduro riders do it that way in the park ferme thats how I started doing it that way. Hope this helps. Dont judge other peoples ability on your lack of it.

After seeing it 3 times already, i am still trying to figure what he really changed. He takes the tyre out, flips it, and puts it back in. The same tyre, the same tube... what was the point of this?
Smiddytheman again, tyre changer looks good, but still can't believe its that easy. I do around 300 MX tyres on a good year all fitted by hand by me mostly at the track on my own designed and built 'changer', and mostly with heavy duty tubes, some double tubed. I usually fit around 40 mousse in this lot, but 19", 100s, or 110s, not the easier 18" 'truck' type tyres. Can you show how long it takes to do a 19" x 100 MX tyre, that's been on for a full days MX, and has a gripper fitted. Good show
Have been using the scorpion tyre changer for 2 years now, having previously used 3 other types of tyre changers and can definetly say that it's the best around. Tyre levers flying accros the workshop and sweeting and swearing at the mousse is no longer an usue!! Would reccomend it to anyone.
I am no stranger to mousse changing, and yes you do it quickly, just wondering have you ever tried it with a Michelin desert and a factory desert mousse??? We were prepping for Dakar on the weekend fitting fresh mousses and tyres to new rims. The major problem is, not only can you not break the bead (obviously) but for Dakar if you even pinch the mousse it will disintegrate in no time due to heat/speed etc. The rider reckons it a good way to earn a grand, as you can bet a grand you will not cha
@smiddytheman .It is a 18" tyre with a 140 mousse on a 18" wheel if you go to brittsh enduro championship rounds you can see some of the 45 mousse changers made being used. They might not be quite as fast as that but most will do it under 2 minutes with practice.Edward Jones,Robert Jones,Rheinallt Davies,Tudur Davies,David Lloyd Jones(all brithish championship winnersand 8 sideacar enduro crews all of which swear by them, If its difficult your doing it wrong.
@amfikz .no man can change a tyre with a MOUSSE inside with no tools. With only a tube sure, but with a mousse its like taking a tyre off with the tube full of air,no way.
@laxwork Hi, A mousse looks like a big foam ring, which acts like a inflated tube, so it is like putting the air in your tube then trying to put the tyre on the wheel except you cant puncture it! The secret is to push the the bead of the tyre into the well opposite which with a tube is easy but with a mousse trying to push the tyre up can be very difficult. This changer makes it easy. washing up liquid also helps a lot on th tyre bead. PS no air is put ino the tyre the mousse does everything.
LOL HEy you for got one thing The AIR Lol j/k Man your Fast !! I take it that U change them A lot i did my front tire last week end with no tire tools just the ones i made not trying at all i got it Done in 20 mins lol Im most deff gonna get some Real Tire Changing tools I made a Nice Steel Stand for my Quad Tire Changing now got to DO a little Custom WOrk to Fit the 2 wheeler RIms on there , Then ill Be cookin with Gas lol .. Great Video Man
how the FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK can it be so easy when you put it on???? my steel wire inside the tire is so damn tight!!!!!!! must be wrong fuckin set of tire on it!!!!!!!! I have like 30cm left and its hard as hellllllll!!!!!!!!! I just wanna kill someone right now!!!!!
if its that difficult your doing it wrong. Study the video and you will see when the tyre becomes tight I push it down into the well opposite and it goes on easy. The tyre has done one day on a sidecar and the mousse is brand new. If the mousse is tight enough to last 12 hours riding on a sidecar witjh only one security bolt its tight enough for any off road bike. make sure you lubricate the bead of the tyre and push the bead into the well of the wheel. let me know how you get on.
@ollecarlsson Is not only yours tight!!!! On all my 4 motorbikes either to my bicycles is tight. I need more time to remove the kevlar soft tire of my bicycle rim than him! Also I use lot of soap! Of course I do not want to damaged my 120 euro rim of my bicycle, or from my motorbikes, but he not care.....
Awsome saw your stand at the Natterjack british round but didn't really take much notice and wasn't really interested unless i could see 1 in use,but that videos got me very interested. expect an email from me soon
ummm but if it's mousse, you should not get a flat, right ??? and if you spend that much money and are worried that much about quick pits, have a spare ready... or just run tireballs lol
The mousse shouldnt need changing, but in the enduro world all serious racers change their TYRES at the end of the first day ready for the second and have to do it in a fifteen minute time restriction along with all other work on the bike. All the work has to be done by the rider alone with no help and wheels are paint marked to prevent them being changed. Tyre changing is considered part of the sport.
Wow, takes me about 15 minutes - with a mousse changing thing and five levers ! That must be a soft tyre - I cant even push a lever under the bead without breaking it off rim with mousse tool lever (not as flash as your one though!). And the bit with knees - ouch- no way !
You can order one from me provided you live in the uk.they are £120 including delivery. If your interested you can e mail me on the address in the information column.thanks for the interest.
