  • 5d mk2 - what suggestions ?

  • Great vid :) would this be suitable to mount a panasonic lumix G2 weighing 4.2 pounds?

  • Now we just need a Glidecam for your arm

  • Hello, I have a Steadicam I mount hd 2000 on my Canon 5D mark 2 lens on Canon

    16-35 2.8.

As soon as you unmount the plate Glidecam, To use dollies to carry out,

    reassemble in the Balance disappears.

    Can anyone explain it?

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

  • who has a cam that weights 10pounds??

  • I have a a Canon EOS 550D with a rode video mic...

What would be better for me? 2000 or 4000?

  • Is it Heavy cause your hand is shaking?

  • i have a Canon Rebel t3 which one should i buy??

  • Can i use glidecams for regular video cameras?

  • great video !

thank you so much :) !

  • i have a t3i so which one shouldi buy?

i also found out about the glidecam 2000 pro, should that one be considered also or its not as balanced out as these?

  • So.. glidecam HD 4000 is good for Rebel t2i? (550D)

  • @TehFoxit No, unless you have a battery grip and a really heavy lens. If you have the stock lens without anything extra, so just 550D and stock lens, HD-1000 is good, if you have a better and heavier lens than the stock lens, go with the HD-2000, Only go with the HD-4000 if you are going to use a battery grip, a heavy lens and extra accessories.

  • @peti1212 I kinda figures after looking around, but thanks for replying anyways :)

Bought meself the 16-32mm lens and I am gonna go pick up a battery grip monday

So I should be good :)

  • @peti1212 Could you go with the 4000 to "future proof" your investment? What if I don't currently have accessories like an external mic, monitor, lenses etc., but may consider adding them in the future? Is it simply not usable if you don't have the weight?

  • Tausend :P

  • hey we have the same camera, the same lens, and the same mic, how about that? =D i see that you use the HD4000 for that, but would a HD2000 be as good? Great review btw, very helpfull.

  • i see that you have a mic on your dslr. i have a t2i and i was wondering what mic you have or a alternate more affordable one around 200

  • seems a bit of a pain to change the battery :T

  • @andyfrybread Well if you have a battery grip for the T2i, it is simple as opening up the battery grip on the side of the camera and replacing the batteries. Without the battery grip some cameras might require to be taken off from the Glidecam. Though it is not too difficult to balance and set up once again once you have the initial settings on the Glidecam.

  • @peti1212 I have the battery grip and a large lens but still cant get the hd4000 to balance - do you have any settings you could share?

  • Any settings you can share for balancing the t2i on the hd4000? Ive got the battery grip and lens and still cant get it!

  • @GuerVid How heavy is your whole camera setup? is it at least around 3.5 pounds? I've found I can work with that as well even though Glidecam's specs say it requires 4 pounds. Though if it is not, you can always use a slightly longer screw and use one of the weights that comes with the Glidecam HD-4000 on the top to add more weight to your setup.

  • @peti1212 - it is around that weight - I actually bought the HD4000 to use with the ex1r but was way to heavy to operate without the vest - great demo by the way - by far the best ive seen -

  • @GuerVid Just try to make sure the bottom part is aligned with the top plate, so the angles are not off. Try it first with only two weights see what happens. If it is too bottom heavy if you do the drop test, it will drop in less than 1.5 seconds. In this case try to adjust the height of the glidecam. You would have to make it shorter to balance the weight on the bottom with the top. Once you get a 2-2.5sec swing, then adjust the top plate so it would be balanced. Then practice, practice.

  • @GuerVid Oh, also, do remember that you should not be using the neck band or that sleeve that goes around your neck with a DSLR. That will throw off the balance as it moves around while you are shooting.

  • Thanks for the excellent explanation and demo! Best I've seen!

I have a Nikon D3000S with a variety of lenses and I'm planning on getting a video camera like the Sony CX560V. Do you think the HD-2000 would work well for both or would the HD-1000 or HD-4000 be better?

  • holy crap dude. how camera is that camera? hella shaky hands

  • Can anyone notice at 2:51 his hand holding the camera shakes like crazy... HAHA

  • @vFgolDkM yeah he needs to go to workout lol

  • THX for this tutorial! I've got a Sony Hdr-FX1, and bought an HD-4000, if later have a heavier cam. But Can I use the HD-4000 with 7D or Mark II ?

  • hey! i've got panasonic ag hmc 151. which glidecam would you prefer for it?

    thanx

  • your hand was shaking a lot. must have been heavy..

  • I have a question for you...they say we can use it upside down and sideways. What is the proper way to do this?

  • Great Job

  • Really nice review, good work!

Another thing, whats the name of the electro song running in the background, its fresh! :)

  • Which Glidecam would you suggest for the 7D?

  • @krisflow I would recommend the HD-2000.

  • @peti1212 and for the 500D?

  • I have fairly strong forearms from handgrips. Will I most likely need the forearm brace?

  • also what happens if i get the hd4000 but my cam weighs less than 4 pounds

  • which one is good to use for the canon t2i

  • @sheizzle89 Yeah, which one is good for the Canon T2i?

  • @JADURCA The HD2000 would be nice for the T2i/550D.

Just weight your camera included all equipment you want to use. Then choose the right model ;-) .

Sorry for my bad english, i'm from germany and you know, we are not as good as others in english. :-)

And btw: Really nice video! I'm going to buy a Glidecam HD-1000 oder HD-2000. The only bad thing on it is the price. :-(

  • you really should make some exercises at the gym for your right arm ... :-))

  • @garfieldsowhat Haha, I know what you mean. Started doing some exercises after I did this video.

  • @garfieldsowhat He might have been exaggerating on purpose to show how stable it is.

  • Excellent review, man.

  • Really like the opening title / graphics. Video look clean. Way to go :)

  • Well done!
