looks like the greedy council got there way in the end! payed some scally to burn the thing down. i dare say there will be some xpencive investigation by the fire birigade which will conclude it was arson but surprise surprise nobody will be charged and it will become another multi story car park or a new set of appartments or office blocks, or like they did at southport, claim it was makin no money, then put a chav's travelling fair in it's place. margate council i hope your proud. nuff said.

Close the road along the front. Pedestrianise everything from the clock tower to the Arlington arcade.

Run the road along the back of Dreamland through and round the site, revitalising not only Arlington house and surrounds where the road would join up with the main road by the station but also the giant unused space at the back.

Get rid of the old rusty railway (sorry). Grass and flowerbeds everywhere. (Cheap).

Hiya back.

I mooted this idea over a year ago when Freshwater had that ridiculous little web 'game' on how 'the locals' wanted the area to look. I screenshot & cut up the picture game and reinvented the road layout, posted it on the EASTCLIFF RICHARD blog... Sandy Ezzywhatever is now touting it as his own idea.. Connect the town qwith the beach for gawds sake. I have many more ideas... Yes....
