  • Honda, pay attention, THIS is how to make sports cars. That new NSX is a joke an is ugly and THIS is a real FWD sports car! You USED To be awsome, now you guys just suck.

  • Agreed. 6.2 ish 0-60 more like. and 1/4 miles are under 14.9 in stock cars.

Oh and what a cheesy bell end that guy is.

  • 24K!!!!! Thats it fuck........i wish i went back nd bought it.

  • 1:03 Now I know where they took the clip :D

  • audi is shit. I mean total shit

  • 0-60 in 6.2 to be exact

  • sadly i cant afford $88,000 :(. but now i can find a used NSX for half the price. :D

  • 0-60: 6,7!

  • well, they didnt really launch at a high rpm thats why its not that quick

  • I just finished watching the review of the Acura Integra Gsr 4door you guys tested and you claim it does 0 - 60 in 6.4 seconds. How is it that a 4door Gsr does this but a 2door Type R does 0 - 60 in 7 seconds?

Makes no sense at all. Anyone care to explain?... Anyone??

  • @aceHADOKAN69 motor week doesn't know how to drive

  • @aceHADOKAN69 To make your question a bit more confusing, the Coupe GS-R (Bajabusta video) does 0-60 in 7.8 seconds...

  • @aceHADOKAN69 different day different drivers, my old 96 spec DC2 ran a 14.5 Q mile with just a cat back :)

  • I just finished watching the Integra Gsr 4door review and you guys claim that it does 0 - 60 in 6.4

  • put it on a honda and it goes faster

  • 24 000$ wow it almost the same price now as it was then!

  • Fail @ 1:34 @15.5 fail, fail, fail. MotorWeek did a segment on a 4-door GSR @ 14.8. With 15hp more, shorter gear ratio, lighter car, how can the GSR hit a faster time?

  • @KungPao916 A 4-door Integra GSR? Surely you jest. Ive never seen one before.

  • @jap989 Uh, they've been made ever since the 2 door version was made. Look it up, there's a bunch of them.

  • @wajalama Thats an awesome car, the 4-door Integra. I have never seen that version before. Actually looks better than I had imagined it. I wouldnt mind having one. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @jap989 No problem

  • I want JDM ITR 98 Spec :(

    Sweet video :)

  • for the performance numbers i still dont get why the nsx was SO expensive

  • @giggles628000000 because it was a mid engine, all aluminum chassis sports car.

  • That 0-60 mph is same as the 2004 tsx which is alot heavier i love honda

  • im an older brother who drives a 95NSX with a little brother who drives a 00ITR!

  • hahaha. I found this odd, the 1990 Chevrolet Beretta GTZ HO quad4 made 180hp and 160 ft. lbs and did 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. lol Sweet cars here

  • The NSX was actually cheap compared to the car that was its main competition... that being the 348/355 Ferraris that were well over 100k. Honda/Acura surely thought the high price would catch the eye of the people looking for a new car and were looking at Ferrari... the only people they ended up selling to were probably people who had 10 ferraris and wanted a daily driver that was reliable, or to people who were too poor to buy a Ferrari but wanted an exotic. IIRC it got good gas mileage though.

  • Instead of giving you less why dont they give you more, add a bigger cam and better tuning.

  • Guys this was a time when Honda was cool, now they make crap like the insight, bring the type r models back

  • wow that acura integra has the worst type R interior ive seen.. the JDM model is so much better..

  • @k20eg92 It's the SAME interior! The only real difference is the recaro seats which I'll agree is much better in terms of comfort and support. Other than that I can't understand ur logic

  • WHAT?? a motor week that wasnt uploaded by bajabuster??? what is this crap?

  • @cobralover88 lmfao, i thought the same thing.

  • whats funny is the newer nsx-rs like the 2000s that competed with the GTR and the Supra wasnt boosted likes its rivals so torque was a bit lower but it did have about the same Hp (300HP for the type r 276 for the base) and it was 600lbs lighter then the GTR and about 500lbs ligther then the supra

  • Makes me sad to see how good Honda once was...

  • It let's u hear the car when racing so if something goes wrong you'll know and pit

  • And stripping sound insulation does what?

  • @flamingaxe791 The sound insulation was stripped for weight saving measures. I think it's about 10 lbs worth of insulation all together which makes a difference with all the other weight saving measures.

  • This is the ONLY car commercial I'll ever like.

  • That's a lot of horsepower and torque for a car that size.

  • @TheHAASAAN its hard to get you point across when you tell us that the integra came with a turbo. and grs easily break 7. my uncle has a stock 4 door and it still does

  • @TheHAASAAN non-turbo WTF are you talking about?

  • That type r with "super sticky tires"? Looked like Bridgestone potenzas to me...terrible tires!

  • @Deetroiter that's 1997, give John Davis some slack. Potenza RE-11 is what you need these days.

  • Why is the NSX consider a supercar? It did 0-60 in 5.2 sec. & 1/4 in 13.6 sec. Yeah thats fast, but not supercar fast like 0-60 in under 4.5 & 1/4 in 12.0 sec. I like the design of putting the engine in the rear for more weight over the drive wheels & the super car appearance. I just wouldn't pay that much for that car.

  • @postersurfman1 That was the 90's... Back in 1990, it was a supercar.

  • @JobeMinacum Are u sure thats a 90 model car? I thought it was a 96-98 model.

  • @postersurfman1 It was introduced in the 90's.

  • @postersurfman1

By the straight line numbers, you can turbocharge a yugo to make 1000 hp and sub 10 second quarter-mile. If you are looking for the fastest drag street car, the NSX is obviously not for you. As for mid-engine balance...you'll have to drive one to know the benefits. The NSX is amazing. Feel free to knock it once you've tried it, but nobody ever does. :)

  • 7sec 0-60? No way! Thats slower then a smart car! lol That time is way off because motor week tested the 4dr gsr at 6.4 sec, how would a 4door integra that weighs more and has less power be faster then the type r? WTF!

  • @Oneill240Si the smart takes longer then 11 seconds to get to 60

  • The DC2 integra type R was then.. and still is.. the BEST fwd car ever made.

  • @indianuljones

Certain cars come to mind since then, such as the Cobalt SS/TC and the MazdaSpeed Protege and arguably the Volkswagen GTi that handle better.

  • @indianuljones And not the Megane RS Cup and Focus RS are out ;-)

  • @cliolord

Don't forget the MazdaSpeed Protege in 2003, the Cobalt SS/TC in 2008, etc. There are plenty of better FWD cars out.

  • @PzownedProductions I think he means max potential. The MSP has a racing suspension from the factory and the cobalt has a supercharger.

  • @MikaOwns

That comment just makes no sense. The Type R has removed sound deadening and air conditioning for light weight, as well as a reworked suspension and a factory ported head, etc. Does that remove it from the list too?

  • @PzownedProductions See you at the track in my GSR ;-)

  • @MikaOwns

Which track? And it takes more than a sweet-handling car to do well at a track, experience plays a major part. I've beaten GSR's and Si' in a Focus ZX3 because of better ability on a technical course.

  • Honda might have been able to sell many more of these had it been about 40K less expensive. The corvette of the time absolutely pooped on it for like1/4 the price. I think that the M3 beat it as well. Really though, the only thing Honda strewed-up was the price. It was/is a great performing and beautiful car.

  • Still one of the best Acura ever came to North America! Just really wish they bring them back here US and Canada.

  • We needa keep the money in the U.S.. We fuckin up buying those id rather fuck with a 2005 Cobra Mustang "super charged" now then one of those now...

  • bajabusta can taste my honda loving ass!!! XD

  • my stock zx2 gets 7 secs to 60, wtf is wrong with their driver???

  • blehh fuck akura ...JAP HONDA OWNS

  • Man, what I would do to drive a 1999 NSX Zardini Edition

  • seems like they are kinda slow compared to what i thought in 1/4

  • 15.5 quarter mile? slower than 94 gsr or del sol vtec, motorweek run

  • @tsetung Yeah I was wondering about that too. WM also did a review of the 1994 4 door GS-R stating that it did 6.4 to 60 due to weather and being better broken in than the coupe they tested. I remember seeing magazine reviews that put the ITR at a 6.5 sec to 60 and a 14.5 quarter mile...

  • 7.0 to 60?? shit driver,should get 6.2

  • This is when Acura was Acura..making superb sports cars/coupes.

Sadly, now all we get from acura are bloated, fat and heavy, tech saavy cars that have little passion or soul to them ( TSX, MDX, TL, etc.)

  • @tom11zz884 so true

  • ID TAKE ANY TYPE OF TYPE R PERIOD!

  • dam 88k for a NSX.. id rather buy a 93 cobra which is like under 10 grand for used :P

  • Man, I would pay $24K for a Type-R

Hell, even today, I think I would pay that much

  • @Ge0vone most people would pay that much...however, it is very hard to find one these day that is mint, and unmodded..so finding a real nice one will cost you a premium.

  • yes i agree, toyota is so boring, with no vehicles produced that have ever made a mark on the market.... *cough supra cough cough* what do you mean you hate that honda builds sports cars and just sit on them for ten years? as opposed to what? ford and chevy whom build the mustang and corvette for *50+* years and milk that model?! nsx's and s2000's(i own the s2k) are timeless sportscars,

  • I totally agree. Like the new electric sports car concept...OMG.

  • 88 grand! WTF in 1997 wow...

  • The NSX was great albeit a bit over priced. I hate how Honda builds good sports cars and then just sits on them for 10+ years(NSX, S2000). The reason why they called it an Acura was because they didn't think anyone would really want to buy a $90,000 Honda. There ARE people out there who, even today, play the whole name game. Mostly just super rich with no knowledge about cars and are just looking for a status symbol to take to the country club.

  • @DonaldxR I'd rock a $90K Honda.

    No shame in that

  • @DonaldxR You are absolutely right about that!

  • @DonaldxR sup girls. want to joy ride my $90,000 honda nsx?

  • @BlueRice if you need to rely on a car to get girls than you have no life.....

  • @chavier90 you are as dumb as a mouse... should i be obvious? is there such thing as honda nsx??? no, well acura and honda are the same company. i was being sarcastic about it... -.-

  • @BlueRice there is a honda nsx, acura is only in america, so anywhere else in the world the nsx is a honda..................

  • @chavier90 i dont want even bother replying to you. read what donaldxR said and then read my first post on this vid. perhaps in few years after you finish school you will understand what sarcastic mean. have a nice day

  • @chavier90 Yup but now Acura is expanding and soon will not be American only brand.

  • @DonaldxR you have no idea how right you are. honda needs to step it up again with another serious performer. maximum people just look at the badge their car is wearing, nobody cares about how the car drives or anything. For example, more people i know prefer the lexus is350 because its a lexus but the infiniti g37 drives so much better.

  • @DonaldxR actually there is a HONDA NSX

  • @DonaldxR golf is for pussies

  • @DonaldxR so true. my buddies uncle wants to buy an NSX. I said something about the honda nsx being such a pretty car to which his friend (another rich guy) replied "honda doesn't make the NSX it's an acura". Even though its the same goddamn thing I didnt bother to tell him.

  • @DonaldxR yeah the R34 GTR is also slowly increasing in price too. makes it even harder for me to get either of them

  • lol 1/4 time was hurtin. easily do mid 14s stock

  • we spend four years in our car in our lifetime. And being in this car for 4 years is like have sex for 4 years straight.

  • god i miss the epic hondas/acuras from the 90s and early 2k

  • fucking yanks , just call it a honda like the rest of the world

  • acura sounds cooler. so fuck off

  • Looking at these videos reminds me when I loved Acura/Honda.

I would of thought Acura by now would be the #1 Japanese luxury maker & would have some of the most sport oriented cars on the market (like BMW). They would of gone to rear wheel drives, introduced a screaming V-8, had an array of high horsepower/liter engines, and beautiful conservative cars(including sport cars).

This was the direction the Acura was going and I was a sold. 15 years later the total opposite has happened.

  • Love integras! Got one myself and i love driving it!

  • man i hate haters, if u dont like the car dont watch the video. and dont coment,

  • Where's the torque?

  • Why do american people love auto gearbox that much ? When I've been to the states I saw so many AT cars but when I saw my friend driving his civic for the first time (it was a manual) he even didn't know how to pass first gear whitout reving and using the clutch ...anyway great car !

  • lazy

  • It's a culture thing. We spend more time in traffic and have more straight roadways than our European counterparts. I heard it's something like 80% American vehicles are automatic, though I'm inclined to believe it is more. It is hard to find a car you want in manual. Most newer cars that are equipped with manual gearboxes are usuall base models. Pretty disappointing.

  • I can't stand automatic, and I'm born and raised in the states. I find the auto gearbox to be ugly, boring and disgusting, I will drive nothing but a manual.

  • @BanditOMG Thats because you never try a MDX.

  • @KoralieMegan I've tried a lot of things, and the manual is still tried and true. I can do a lot more in a manual than I can in anything else, and it suits ME. I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks, it's what I think that matters to me.

  • @BanditOMG Too bad more and more cars are going to autos that have a manual feature. i wont ever own an automatic, even if i have to buy a 90 something car and pump $ into it the rest of my life, its better than owning an auto. plus theyre waaaay cheaper to fix

  • saving up for an integra type r, my dream car, I know nothing about cars but :( I need to learn

  • and knowing is half the battle =D

  • Everyone has gotta start somewhere.

  • so this nsx is NA2 isnt it? besides, NSX-T doesnt mean TARGA??? this nsx is not targa by the way...

  • I just got my car back from having the motor swapped? I have a DB7 with a real ITR motor not the U.S . version. Wont pass emissions cause of the JDM ecu but. I don't care. Fuk the ozone layer.

  • The NSX is a wonderful car, but it have 2 major defect. No one want to pay 90,000 dollar for it, and it is not super fast. The 911, viper, corvette is just as fast, and cheaper. Sometime the Japanese are crazy shit, just like the yamato and mushasi. World biggest and baddest battle ship but couldn't accomplish anything.

  • im sorry to say, they did accomplish pearl harbor

  • So what ?

  • u say they dont accomplish shit, im guess making a point

  • @danhhang2007 Agreed, that was the major downfall of the NSX, it's high price, and relatively low performance compared to other supercars in its class.

  • I am selling my 01 ITR if anyone is interested

  • I am.......send me a link where I can see some pix and some info, here is my e-mail:

    Hindic_Resad@hotmailcom

  • why pay 88k for an nsx when you could get an 09 370z for 40k

  • this nsx isint 88k anymore its mutch less, and any nsx is a million times betetr then a crappy 370z

  • I'd roll in a 1990 NSX over a 2010 370z any god damned day.

  • hell fuckin yeah

  • exactly. and if you consider the fact, that they managed to reach 60 in 5,2 seconds some 18-19 years ago from just 3.2 liter - that is fucking amazing. what a car this nsx is..

  • @venom3114 HELL YA

  • On a regular day most people would prefer a 370z.

  • @venom3114 thats what im talking about......this car is a living legend......my fav car ever.

  • @venom3114 That 1990 NSX will hold up better than a 2010 350z too...believe me.

  • @venom3114 oh yes, driving car that has a chassis tested and developed to ayrton sennas likings

  • @venom3114 obviously bro!

  • its rear wheel!

  • best fwd car in the world god its sick

  • You buster

  • motorweek needs to learn how to launch a car for quicker 0-60 times. that said, this clip is old, so motorweek no more!

  • I own a BMW but I have tons of respect for the itr. That's what everybody talked about back in college. I will always have a special place In my heart for these.

  • NICE!!

  • Love the American fat spec. seats

  • i saw the motorweek video of the 1994 GSR sedan and to my surprise the GSR does 0-60 @ 6.4secs and 1/4 mile 14.9secs @ 97mph. Shouldnt the typeR be faster than the GSR?

  • that GSR is probably tuned very well with major modifications.

  • NOPE STOCK

  • dude I got a stock CL type S and I beat on stock GSR;s. The only integra that can take me is my friends, which is modified. Oh and quarter mile he is not quicker than me, so unless u got 100 shot of nos, that integra is getting no where in the 14's. Im sorry man but i just cant c it.

  • okay but cl type-s are gayyy and i would take a gsr any day over a cl. I dont even know why they are called type-s there is nothing special about them whatsoever

  • cuz the dam thing produces almost as much HP as the NSX. now its heavy as shit and not as fast, but it hangs in there. Not only do I eat stock GSR's I also beat heavily moddified ones. I like the look of the GSR, but the CL is a faster car. Saying that, I just want to point out that i have a CL and I dont like it that much, but fact of the matter is, its just faster than ur GSR. PERIOD

  • ummm actually i drive an rsx type-s look on my account, and secondly its CL motor is just a regular motor with no VTEC...TL type-s now thats a different story

  • for the cl add the type S on all my comments. THX

  • Motorweek made a mistake.

The 7 sec time is what a Gsr coupe performs.

    A Type R Integra can go 0-60 in 6 / 6.2 seconds.

  • the guy took it like a pussy :D i was like holy shyt 15.5?! i think a EG with an LS will do that much in a 1/4 mile.

  • what track did u go 2????

  • lmao i got some negatives? you have to know integra type R is faster than 15.5..... ppl theses days are illiterate.......

  • I love how people compare the new Cobalt SS to 10+ year old ITR which is the benchmark to beat even now. Keep in mind ITR is 1.8 liter 195bhp ALL MOTOR while the Cobalt SS is 2.0 liter 260bhp TURBO. It took GM that long to catch up but they have to use TURBO to do it. If you want FF contest, bring on the Civic Mugen RR.

  • i agree i love how they compare to 10 year old cars which are still highly respected. the R's are legend.

  • i had no idea there was a usdm type r!

  • haha these dayz some type r arent even 24k no more.

  • I wonder if the type r in this video has been stolen yet? Rare to hear of a type R that hasn't been.

  • I love Honda. Reliable and easy to work with. Think about it a 108 cu. in. producing 195 hp. This is enought to do what ever you plan to. Track? Grocery? School? Work? This car is efficiently advance in engine power and RELIABILITY. No one drives Honda's easy. Almost everyone I know beat the $h!t of them Hondas.... Yet; you can still count on them to take you everywhere beside off roading! hahahhaa,

  • Whats an Acura? haha

  • Wrong 1/4mile is done in 14sec i have a B18C jdm and factory it did 15

  • That model integra and the ones until they were discontinued are the best cars ever!!!!!!!

  • sorry the JDM integra type r is way better

  • cobalt ss?? lol a large american engine that cannot extract many hp, lol this honda extraxt almost 100hp per litre.

  • LOL, the new Cobalt SS is no joke. It's faster than a type R in every way. It's also a 2.0L turbo, which is not a big motor. This is also coming from a Honda enthusiast who owns a modded RSX-S. Sorry to say Honda isn't gods gift to fast 4 cyl cars anymore. Honda is also heavily falling back in the horsepower wars. Their cars keep getting heavier and heavier without any increase in HP. You need to get out of the cave you live in bro.

  • Yeah it can be more fast than a type r , but that car have a turbo, and type r is naturally aspirated :)

  • just imagine the type r with a turbo... O_O

  • that will smoke many people who say honda is shit!!!

  • the type r will probably pull on most camaros, mustangs, etc etc... But yeah, will WTF PWN any people who say honda sucks with a turbo.

  • wow nice im cummin!!! :D

  • I really love these two Hondas :)
