People.........Don't act so appalled by this, Boats, oil spills, trash, and radioactive chemicals are entering the water everyday. Native Americans have been doing this since the beginning of time. Its not damaging the fish. Pollution is. Stop blaming Natives for the Problems. Yeah this seems messed up but those dead fish are going back into the water to be consumed by other sea wildlife.

Everyone should note that it's not about what race is entitled to what. This video is about flagrant and barbaric misuse of a natural resource that belongs to everyone. Native Indians of "Yesterday" believed that mother nature has a harmony that must be kept in balance; that all resources should be used to their maximum and in that honor life. It doesn't matter who wastes what, this video is about right and wrong not who is entitled to what. Killing fish for the purpose of wasting is murder.

I stopped to watch the action one day to find out only the live fish were kept and thousands were left to float away. I asked why and was told they were too drunk or drugged-out to check nets. @BrownTrout117 even if they are used it is a waste and not necessary, I shop right next to natives in the super market everyone uses, the Salmon are a symbol of life and continuation and they don't have to be slaughtered to represent this, I personally know natives who sell salmon out of their cars, it is all BS and needs to stop, so I have a problem with all of it.

a couple days ago, i was out fishing in this one spot and some natives come by down there, and they said I cant fish there. They said the salmon need to be able to make it up their spawning rivers so "WE CAN OPEN OUR FISH LADDER FOR THEM" they said as soon as they got their gill nets accross the river next friday I could SPORT FISH there. I'm fucking tired of this shit. We cant fish because they dont have their nets in the water. The fate of salmon rest in their dirty hands.

I have never had a problem with netting and LEGAL netting practices. It is the absence of ethical and moral control that makes situations like this reprehensible. Having said that, it is important to note that this particular circumstance does not represent all tribal nations.
