  • Yeah homie ur still doing the House Foundation...Although i like how u form Hip-Hop freestyle in there as well. But to the all the folks...YES. House is a freedom but with freedom still means base "foundation". You can do w.e. in poppin, breakin, tap as long as ur doin it in the context of that style. Same with House dance. Bc if u could do w.e u want...then nobody would look similar at ALL! Know ur history 1st ppl...House still has a foundation, culture & history. LEARN IT!

But I dance JUST like this guy and I feel happy.

  • @masterwilkes dancing to house only looks good when ur freely flowing to the music, not when u look choreographed

  • @masterwilkes Represent house dance :) learn Bboying as well since the top bboys int eh world love and respect house dancing since its all about freedom and to express, not impress. The Jerk and all of that trendy stuff takes no skill. House Dancing takes time to master and it requires good technique....just keep dancing :)

  • name of this track pleaseeeeeeeeee some one help me

  • Can you feel it --by mr .fingers

  • niice ;-)

  • I that like just just in breakin there's certain move's you'll see EVERYBODY doing.. I fuggin can't do that shit no way... some people get moves down pat.... like some kid from china that know's how to get the holy ghost just some black church lady from the west side of the chicago..it's amazing but you scratch ya head a little... house dance look's like popping and breaking with more flow added.

  • actually there is a "house dance" or dance done to house music, that has moves based directly on popping.

    its called Voguing ;)

(and please ignore Madonna's shameless exploitation of the real underground voguing scene)

  • ur style is so sick! i just started learning house a while back and im still finding my own groove but i really let loose and get into the music

  • Actually you can dance however you want.

There is no rule that says only one particular dance is exclusively danced to house music. Todays "house dance" formed in the 90s. But back in the mid-80s, long before todays "house dance" was created, people were Popping, Robotting, Locking etc to house music. You are free to express yourself.

Yes house is a feeling, but house is also about Freedom.

  • @ultraxmusic wow very nice...that comment is very liberating...and im not joking btw lol

  • You're welcome.

I'm into popping and animation, but I also love house and techno, particularly by the Chicago and Detroit founders.. The idea that popping is only to West Coast G-Funk is a recent trend, partly commercialization by DVDs and dance studios, partly because Poppin Pete decided to push the G-Funk aspect in the late 90s.. Personally I pop to whatever feels good to me, and 1980s acid house from Chicago is great. Theres nothing new here, people were popping to house in the 80s. Enjoy ;)

  • @ultraxmusic yes im very new to house dance...i just started getting into it because i always go to these jams since most of my friends dance. one of them is very passionate(boogiemind) and he got me to open my mind to various things like popping, locking, and most recently house. im not very good but when the music is there i can feel it.

  • Absolutely. There are really no rules when it comes to social dancing. If you want to do hip-hop party dances to Bjork, rock that. However you want to do it, do it, and it's always interesting to see how your dances change with the music. I was getting down with locking the other day to some funk tracks, and then just automatically started breaking out hip-hop dances to the music, and they looked and felt a lot different then when they do when I dance them to hip-hop music.

  • @40Sec

could be because hip hop dance it actually a mix older styles in a choreographed way.

al moves used i"hip-hop dance" originate from an older style back in the 80 street-dance was a term used by the media to describe poppin, breaking, lockin, house even ballet and other more classical dances

now street-dance is just choreographed steps.

so my point is there is no actual hip-hop/street dance these are just names given to the older styles that just have become choreographed.

  • @flyingvish

Hip-hop dance is party-dances that were formed in reaction to hip-hop music, so yes, there is such a thing as hip-hop dance. What you see labeled as hip-hop dance on shows such as SYTYCD generally has nothing to do with hip-hop or other social dance styles. It might contain a few elements of one or two actual social dance styles, but in general it's isolations/lyrical/etc, which is also what you'll get if you try and take a "hip-hop" dance class in a studio.

  • @40Sec Thank you for explaining that.

  • @flyingvish

I'll elaborate on that with a few examples on how hip-hop dances are party dances to hip-hop music. Remember the song 'The humpty-hump' by Digital Underground? The hip-hop social dance the humpty hump came from that song, and he actually DESCRIBED how to do the dance in the song. 'The monestary' comes from a dance that began at the Monestary club when a few guys were making fun of how a girl was dancing, and it just spread around. There are tons more, not enough space with youtub

  • your awesome man keep it up!

  • Can someone tell me if it's the video or my laptop that's freezing so that I can fix it and watch this w/out interruptions?

  • it's all about the amount of control you exert and display with your four limbs and head as you move through a space in time against/with a dictated, specific rhythm and beat outside of yourself...i love the fluidity of your movement...especially in Barcelona....from one house head/rave kid to another......shalom...keep on dancing...truth shines...THIS IS FRESH!

  • WOW i like the way they move
