Fans of AF are more involved in the game than in any other sport. Singing, chanting, and cheering throughout the entire game is great, but in AF, it doesn't neccessarily help your team. If you are going to post video of the atmosphere . You could at least make it with the real sond from the clips and not turn up the volum so it just sounds like nois.
Im sure it is a loud sound picture on college matches. But it will never be like the European or the south American atmosphere.

this isn't football, its handegg and anyway Besiktas has a stadium capacity of 32,786 Husky stadium has a capacity of 72,500. If Besiktas had the same amount of fans in the stadium then the world would implode with noise and i am not even a Besiktas fan.

Fans of AF are more involved in the game than in any other sport. Singing, chanting, and cheering throughout the entire game is great, but in AF, it doesn't neccessarily help your team. You (the 12th man) are literally, a part of your teams strategy and game plan. Knowing when to cheer and when to shut up can help push your team to victory

Love the fact Clemson's the first chant! Go Tigers! No crowd in the world can beat student sections...and soccer is so boring you have to find something to do, so i guess chanting is it. We don't do many chants over here, we pay more attention to the games.
The thing that makes being a college football fan so much better is if you attended the school, your PART of the team...you don't get that in pro sports.

Eng supporters provide loudest atmosphere even with small numbers. Plus organized chanting, jumping. More passion. I'd LOVE to visit anfield in Liverpool.
SA and other parts of Euorpe are best, most intense fans in world (check out some stuff from bestikas and so on) but violent and dangerous

@gobuckeyes77and7rhcp ... Yeah I know but if you ever make it to england I would avoid anfield unless it's a big match.. I'd try going to a Portsmouth or stoke city both very noisy fans.. As far as College fans Texas a&m fans are VERY organized.. We have 5 elected "yell leaders" who stand on the field level right in front of the crowd, then they all perform a hand signal which means a specific chant or yell. once the first row of the crowd sees this they do the hand signal and it gets passed...

@allpeeps4me I was at Kyle Field once and it was mediocre. I'd heard so much about it, but it was very subdued. They were playing Colorado, so maybe I'd need to go to a game against UT or OU, but for the so-called "best fans", I wasn't that impressed.

The fans then are told to "hump it" which is them leaning forword to yell louder, the yell leaders then command the yell and everyone chants.. There are numerous yells that EVERYONE knows as well as the hand signal.. Not to mention the famous Aggie War Hymn, everyone knows every word and sings every word and the stadium literally sways back and forth with the crowd... 12th man indeed.

I am a die hard fan of Ohio State Buckeyes, Columbus Crew and Liverpool FC.
the horseshoe is loud and visibly intimidating because of 105,000 people packed there. However the fans are unorganized and like all American fans, we just yell "ooooh!!" the whole game. Slowly chanting o-h-I-o with assistance from the video board is not too intimidating.
Cbus Crew Has about 16,000 per game but the atmosphere is huge. The jumping, chanting, flags, streamers and smoke bombs from the supporter section

The facilities that US sports have make the UK look bad and all of europe. Going from high school sports up to the pros. Americans are sports fan just look at the size and wealth of NFL, NBA and MLB there is no where in the world that could match up three different sports like America. In Brazil, fans come down from the biggest slums, stand tightly together on terraces, and let their emotions out. What you get is flares, fireworks, flags, confetti, jumping up and down and singing together. It's raw passion. Please look at Flamengo for example. Then you should know what a real atmosphere is.

Maracana stadium atmosphere in Rio is spectacular in every sense. Show me please a college football in such like.

Why are you comparing them? Ive already stated that I am not comparing because I love and ridiculously respect futbol atmosphere. Fireworks or fares are illiegal.. But what we lose from the flares we surely make up for with amazing attendances every game not just big games.. NCAA fans still have been louder than any stadia in europe or south america regardless of the number of fans making the noise..
