  • Very cute man.

  • Hi Davy,

Thanks again for all your wonderful videos. Just hoping you are well and wishing you the best in love and health for the New Year.

    MrParadox62

  • I really enjoyed this video and it made me think that life is way too short to be confined behind closed doors only because you are gay, I would definitely like to meet this man one day for a drink! I am ever so proud of him!

  • Busco un señor ya mayor maduro guapo y varonil para mi...

yo hombre de 35 años atractivo y varonil...mi correo

    alekkias@hotmail.com

  • Too bad I can not speak English and could not understand. But say you are very handsome hehe

  • you are a great man with great advice, glad there are people like you :)

  • Very good video, with very good advice, straight from the heart. I can relate, since I am the same age, and I probably went through some of the same difficulties as you. I was in the U. S. military during the dark old days of the gay witch hunts. I have seen many atrocities against my gay military comrades. I retired to a small town in the South, and lead the life of a monk.

  • Well, as I heard once... here in Brazil for example, a queer has to be very man to be gay. They say this because the discrimination is still very very big, not only here but in worldwide. Is such a joy that I can see that even a man with your age has the good sense to understand that there's nothing wrong with the sexual option of a person wich loves another person who has the same genre. I wish there was more people around that think like us. Anyway, thanks for the support.

  • Actually, Davy is a beautiful man and a kind human being in every way Esauthered.

  • fajny gość

  • Davy...hope you are well. You have wonderful insights from your life experiences. My partner and I have been together for 40 years, through all sorts of ups and downs. I can't imagine having lived my life never accepting who I was. My partner played a large role early on for me to feel comfortable as a young gay man. There are wonderful people out there that will remain in your life!

  • Positive and to the point, good for you fella.

  • Simply I believe that you are a wonderful person

  • I love you grandpa. You're so handsome.

  • I am hanging on ur words, I'm hanging on them....

  • loveee u daddyyyyyyyyyy

  • I miss davey

  • Much love to you fella.. Big Hugs to you !!

  • Hi ! Davy I would love to chat with you personally. You are really good person. Your opinion is such a good advice. Please send me a note here. Best Regards Piotr

  • Hope you are still alive you are so wise in what you say, my partner and I were together for 28 years before he died some 10 years ago. being gay in the early 70,s was a no no. Loved him to bits and miss him still today and always will. Although I have met another man and he today is my partner and husband we live in Spain now and enjoy our life here. No problems being gay the spanish are very liberal in their thinking. Love to you in being so open and honest would love to hear from you.

  • you are attractive and thanks for sharing your experiences. mario

  • I respect you so much. Thank you for sharing your voice with the world

  • canadian girl here :) go to the city where there isnt descrimination against homosexuals as much, or at least not as openly. good luck with your life, and you have at least one person rooting for you :)

  • What a fantastic series of videos! You're a genuine man and I appreciate your heartfelt comments, observations, and advice in each of your postings.

  • Gay people are cool

  • Why i have to come out to? It is my life!!! If somebody ask my if i am gay, i just say that is not your problem!!!!

  • @nurab50 if i was gay i would be scared too.

  • this coud help insecure people overall not just for gay persons.. if you live life to the fullest thats great

  • You never need to tell anyone you are gay! There's nothing to hide! It's your business! Totally private! And if they ask you, just say, "and you? What secret same-sex perversions do YOU have?"

  • good advice. Coming out should be done at the right moment, timing is everything. It isn't essential to come out it just makes it easier for some depending on lifestyle and ambitions. I haven't come out and at the moment I feel I don't need to. But I tend to agree if someone asks if you are gay, sure, say yes if you're comfortable with telling someone that. Perhaps it would be easier starting with people that aren't so close to you. Btw DavyTop, you're a handsome man!

  • u would be like the most awesum father ever ._. i hate my dad, it seems alot of dads r overly seriously homophobic these days even with everyone else around them supporting it.... im gay and my friend has a totally homophobic dad, he wont let my friend straighten his hair cause he thinks it will make him gay O_O ....so instead he has to have hair that just looks gay....

  • I have come out to my family and friends for the past 10 years now, and I am very happy to be gay at 45 years old!

  • its ok just take your time with it =]

  • thats cool =] if you do tell me how it went =]

  • You are just awesome. I love you so much. Very wise dad and great notes. I am really looking forward to see new clips about our matter. I will say it at loud " I am Gay and proud". I like myself as a gay person. God made me like this and I am happy about it. ONE hand will not do anything, let us show the people that we are here and we are not ashamed about it. Well, of course don't put yourself in danger. Act as you are and do what you like. Live your life. HUGS to the cute daddy :)

  • Thank you very much daddy for your message , really i love you too much , please keep my email with you , i hope to see you soon , i have 6 pics in FLICKR( YAHOO) , big hugs & kisses ,

  • Dear Wuankklan...me too. Life is complicated (or we make it so). I'm happy for the younger crowd...escaping things with which we had to deal.

  • Me too at 44. The younger ppl are leading the way.

  • bigphat200....44? Darlin', you're just a kid! Hahaha...I remember 44...it was great...but so is my current 58....life is good, yes? Glad I lived to see more freedom....with more to come!

  • good luck

  • Men, thank you for your advices,u are right

  • well. we are not as lucky as you...i am not living in UK and being a gay in my country is seen as a diseaster and everyone around you will hate you whether you describe and express yourself as a gay...well i am living an artificial life acting like a st8 and again, not everyone is as lucky as you do... have good life...

  • Oyle dusunuyorsaniz, turkiye'den cikmalisin, hemen...baska bir melekete git. Omur kisa, ziyan olmamaliyiz. Hersey gonlunce olsun, kardesim.

  • I'm just a kid at 56 (grin). I've been lucky because my parents have always been supportive, they paid my way through college and law school and for the past 30 years I have been a divorce lawyer. I can say with considerable experience that it's much better being a Gay man than a straight man. For younger men, it's easier to be straight - society accepts you. For older men, it's much harder to be straight - society, in general disdains older straight men.

  • You so wonderful , and i agree 100% about everything you say and i am so proud to be gay and i enjoy life as it is and i am happy to see people like you on utube

  • Vazeny pane,

i kdyz vam nerozumim rad se divam na vase prospevky.

    Diky

  • I think for people who still haven't came out it feels like it would be a lot harder than it actually is! I remember I used to imagine people not talking to me or crying on me or yelling, but it actually made everything easier and people understand me better. So it's definetely one thing before and another one after you've done it. Oh, and you don't have to face people while they get used to it, you can always stay away and let them come to you when they're ready if you have to...

  • Men, thank you for your advices. I'm only 20, but I already see what you mean, and I know you're right. I believe it wasn't easy at all 50 years ago!

  • You DO have a choice, that's right. You can decide of 3 things: 1: You live happily being gay. 2:You live as straight, but deep inside you're never satisfied with your life. 3: you live all alone all your life.

That's the only thing you can choose. Apart from this, being gay is not a decision. Clearly.

  • I don't see what you mean. Could you please explain it? I do believe in God, don't think I don't

  • believing in God is one thing while submitting and letting God to transform our hearts is another.

  • I like your video... —Vick

  • Stated long ago in a book no one can read is your story. you wrote it, but you must bring about long revisions. This was not part of the plot, but it fits so perfectly you must include it. A love once lost a million years ago returned to you tenfold. No manner of machine and amount of prayer can make up for this. You are the first chapter in this New Testament. The second book of your life, the happy ending, the diary, the romance in your life all started with you.

  • Thanks, Davy. I am 34 and still in the closet. All I can say is that the longer you wait, the harder it will be to come out. Sometimes it feels like the whole world around me grows out of a complete lie. But then living a gay life is just not something I can truly accept. It feels like a kind of disability that I have come to term with and I just have to manage the best I can. Not until I meet someone whom I fall in love with, I don't think I will have the courage to come out.

  • Hi there Davy,

Love the fact that you have taken the time to reassure others and help them in such a difficult time in their lives, you are kid and wonderful man.

    Matt :)

  • Thank You so much for this video.Thank You..

    Great man.

  • I wouldnt come out..many familys dont accept the practice..and being gay is not worth losing a family or friend.IF YOU ASK ME!ITS PRIVATE MATTER<ONES OWN SEXUALITY..

  • Well thought the same guess waht...It all turns out ok in the end...

You m ust be honest to others, in order to be honest to yourself...

Very sad life you will live in that closet...very sad !

  • Thank you for proving me that there is always a nice people in this world. You make me feel like a better person every time I watch your video.

  • I think your a wonderful gentleman. We share many experiences. I'm 62, I was in the army and I worked for the navy; worked in electronics. I was WB6GGG. When I was younger I had many problems as you have had. Now I live in Palm Springs. I could say "in Palm Springs It's the straight people that are in the closet" but I've found that gay people are not prejudice towards others; be it religion or color.

I though your videos were intelligent and from your heart.

    Thank you so much.

    Jerry

  • I would love know you on real. Great man! hugs!

  • 5 stars! come back and tell us more please.

  • Thank you.

  • You are a wonderful person. Every single gay, lesbian, bisexual or transexual person needs to see this. It really puts things in perspective. You are awesome. Officially one of my roll-models. Thank you so much.

  • i admire you... you are THE strongest person. 5* :D

  • Please make more videos - it is such a pleasure to listen to all that you have to say. There must be all sorts of other areas on which your wisdom can cast some light. 5*

  • At least he's alone and has integrity being who he is instead of using some woman in an inappropriate relationship to 'fit in'.

  • ur awesome, keep making vids! we support u,cheers!

  • cheers

  • Thank you. Cheers.

  • It's so good to see someone at the age of 70 who still cares about the issues that affect most of gay people, still believes in life and that it's possible for the world to become a better place. You are a sweet man.

I am in awe of you ever so much!! Thank you, i hope to help the 'young' people you speak about!! thanks (brought a tear to my eye! ) xxx

  • comin out is hard. now in 2007, we're slowly makin our way to a point where its not as looked down on, hence gay marriages being approved in several states.

coming out can push family away, but hey, im one of those people who had to be somebody i wasnt to please others.. i am so proud of my lifestyle and who i am. in the end our happiness is more important

  • Excellent video.

  • I appreciate the fact that you posted this as a response to my video. Your words really mean a lot. I'm glad we were able to band together and work as a team to spread words of support to people who have not yet come out.

  • Dave what an awesome set of videos =] and Andy agrees too. You are a true legend and im sure now many peoples hero. Thanks for this collection of videos. And we will probably see you thursday in the pub. Lee x

  • Dave - Thank you . I am 40 and believe as you If they ask I will tell. I started out watching horse videos and end up finding you . Tahnks for a great saturday night.

  • David you are a role to many gay people. I love the way that you honestly discuss both the joys and pain you have experianced in live. Thank you for having the courage to speak and share with us.

  • You beautiful, beautiful man!! I was almost in tears (the happy ones) watching your clips. I'm in my 40's and can relate to many of the same feelings you had when you were younger. We are so very rich and blessed with your generosity, your sharing of your life in this way. I almost can't type my feelings fast enough. Half a globe away and I feel like a best friend. Thank You Thank You!!!

  • Hi, thanks for commenting. So far I've only seen this video (I plan on going back and seeing the rest) - it really makes me sad to hear there are so many people out there having such a tough time with coming out. I know how it feels, but I'm certain there are MANY who are going through a coming-out experience FAR worse than my own. I had the luxury of coming out in 2003, and of living in a country where it is legally acceptable. Hope this isn't REALLY the last video. Warmest regards!

  • David, I accidently ran across your video clips and I'm glad that I found them..They're very interesting and touching..You're right, you're very lucky in the UK..I only wish things were different here in the US..Maybe I should have chosen to go to England instead, but oh, well, I'm here..

I want to thank you for sharing your stories and opinions, and wish you the best of health&all in life!

    Thank you again!

Congratulations for sharing your life and making people learn things from what you lived!!!

And thanks for sharing your life with us

    see ya

  • be always good dave! Thank you!

  • we love u so much and are very proud that u sort of "represent" us, gay people that is. love ya sooo much davy, be good, live well, and always go gayly forward!

  • I started youtubing a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy I found your video! Very interesting. If you want to read a fascinating young 16yr olds coming out story, I suggest you see the video from Keeperdude07, he's done it in 3 parts titled "Being Gay" (part 1,2 & 3). He comments on the difficulties of being gay today. A 16yr old to a 70yr old! Thank-you so much, lookig forward to you next video. Hugs from Canada :)

  • hmm that makes me a bit sad.

I'll miss your videos. This video is my favourite of all of yours.

I hope you "make a comeback" someday, and reprise your role as the wise old gay man.

I wish i could give you a hug and talk to you in person.

  • Davy, You're amazing! Please DON'T stop posting videos!! I see by your view count that I'm not alone in saying WE NEED YOU HERE!! Love you, Zipster08
